As our new Head of Global Congresses and Events, you will have a powerful role in the direction for how LEO Pharma shows up at global congresses, selected regional congresses and key events — ensuring every touchpoint is strategically aligned, professionally delivered and creates measurable impact.

Your role

You will lead the global congress and event agenda, translating medical, brand and corporate communication priorities into integrated event strategies and high-quality customer experiences. This is a role with both strategic ownership and hands-on management, where you will guide planning, governance, execution and performance follow-up across functions, markets and external partners.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Defining and leading LEO Pharma’s global congress and event strategy in alignment with medical science, publication, brand and communication priorities.

- Owning the end-to-end congress operating model, including planning principles, governance, prioritization, budgeting and performance follow-up.

- Developing integrated engagement plans across physical and digital touchpoints before, during and after congresses and events.

- Leading internal activation and alignment of delegates, affiliates and cross-functional stakeholders to maximize consistency and impact.

- Acting as senior business lead for agencies, suppliers and congress organizers, ensuring strong collaboration, quality execution and effective budget management.

You will also drive KPI tracking and insights, turning learnings into continuous improvement. A central part of the role will be to build strong internal and external relationships that support long-term collaboration and enable LEO Pharma to deliver congress activities to a consistently high standard.

Your qualifications

We are looking for an experienced project leader with a strong background in congresses, event strategy, stakeholder engagement and global communication. You know how to connect scientific exchange, brand objectives and customer engagement into clear strategies — and how to turn those strategies into structured plans and successful execution.

We imagine that you bring:

- A degree in life sciences, business, communications, marketing, event management or another relevant area.

- Significant experience with congress management, event strategy or stakeholder engagement from large corporates.

- Experience developing brand, marketing or communication concepts that are clear, compelling and audience relevant.

- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in a global matrix organisation with multiple senior stakeholders.

- Project leadership experience, including planning, prioritization, risk management and delivery oversight.

You are a confident communicator and trusted partner who can influence across functions, regions and seniority levels. You combine strategic thinking with pragmatism, thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring the judgment, resilience and professionalism needed to lead high-visibility activities.

Your new team

You will join the Global Congresses and Events team, working closely with Global Brand Teams, Global Medical Affairs, Corporate Communications, Digital Customer Engagement, affiliate teams, CRM, Procurement, Finance, Legal and Compliance. Together, you will ensure that LEO Pharma’s congress and event presence is strategically coordinated, impactful and aligned with business priorities. You will also lead a small team of 1–2 direct reports and collaborate with external agencies, suppliers and congress partners.
