CSA – Middle Science Teacher
Purpose of Role
To provide engaging and effective ICT education to primary students in line with the Cambridge curriculum, developing their digital literacy, computational thinking, creativity, and responsible use of technology.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Responsibilities
- Teach ICT / Computing to Cambridge Primary students.
- Plan and deliver lessons aligned with Cambridge Primary learning objectives and curriculum frameworks.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, digital activities, coding exercises, and age-appropriate projects.
- Complete the planned curriculum within the academic timeline.
Assessment & Evaluation
- Conduct formative and summative assessments to monitor student learning and progress.
- Evaluate students' classwork, practical activities, projects, and digital assignments.
- Maintain accurate academic and assessment records and provide regular feedback on student progress.
- Provide remedial and enrichment support based on individual student learning needs.
Practical & Lab Management
- Conduct hands-on ICT and computer-based activities in the computer lab.
- Introduce students to age-appropriate digital tools, basic coding, computational thinking, and technology applications.
- Ensure proper and safe usage of computers, software, and other ICT equipment.
- Promote practical, project-based, and experiential learning through engaging activities.
Student Development
- Encourage creativity, logical thinking, problem-solving, and digital confidence among students.
- Promote safe, ethical, and responsible use of technology, including basic digital citizenship and online safety.
- Encourage students to participate in coding activities, technology projects, exhibitions, and STEM-related activities.
- Support students in developing independent learning and effective use of digital resources.
