Job Profile Summary
- Commodity, Food and Agri (CF&A) is one of the 7 sector pillars of ING Wholesale Banking. It is a global leading team, consisting of more than 250 professionals dedicated to providing financial solutions to clients involved in the trading of physical commodities (energy, metals & minerals, and agri) as well as producers and processors of metals & minerals, food and agricultural products.
- This internship in HK offers a unique opportunity for individual seeking hands-on experience in the dynamic world of commodity financing. Interns will support key CF&A initiative within the client-facing Front Office team, working closely with various internal stakeholders
- Interns will be immersed in a collaborative environment that fosters learning and will gain invaluable experience into the workings of a global financial institution.
What will you be doing?
- Helps the front-office team in managing banking services (including but not limited to structured trade financing solutions) offered to clients (or prospective clients)
- Liaises with the client within the portfolio in deal management / transaction requests and ensuring that proposed deals are in conformity of the bank’s risk appetite and/or approve credit facility parameters
- Works closely with the relevant product partners (including Middle Office, Risk, Operations, Financial Markets, among others) to ensure smooth and timely execution of transactions, and completion of credit review / credit modifications.
- Assists in credit & operational tasks including credit reviews, customer due diligence management, call reports, covenant monitoring and management reporting
- Participates in ad-hoc projects or assignments, reporting, commercial and clients’ meeting where necessary
