We give you a world of potential
We are looking for a Junior Governance and Sustainability Analyst to join Georgeson Advisory, a key brand within Computershare’s Investor Engagement division, responsible for providing expert strategic support during high-stakes shareholder events, including Annual General Meetings, M&A transactions, shareholder activism and proxy contexts.
The successful candidate will play an integral role in supporting advisory work across all major European markets, delivering high-quality client deliverables in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment. You will work closely with colleagues and stakeholders across multiple teams, departments and business units within Georgeson and across Computershare to ensure effective collaboration and delivery.
The role also provides an opportunity to work with internal specialists to support sales pitches and client engagements, while contributing to the organisation’s global thought leadership initiatives. You will build strong internal relationships and gain broad exposure to governance, sustainability and shareholder engagement matters across the European market.
A role you will love
In this role, you will contribute to providing strategic advisory across a broad range of corporate governance and sustainability matters, including executive remuneration, board composition and effectiveness, shareholder rights, share capital, audit and climate risk management. You will support clients in preparing for AGMs, EGMs, M&A transactions and activist situations, helping them navigate complex governance and sustainability considerations.
You will also play an important role in delivering high-quality analysis of the corporate governance and sustainability-related annual reporting of Georgeson Advisory clients. This will involve assessing disclosures from the perspective of proxy advisors, ESG rating agencies, institutional investors and other relevant stakeholders, helping to identify key themes, risks and areas of focus.
Working alongside the wider Georgeson Advisory team, you will also contribute to the organisation’s content and thought leadership initiatives. This will include supporting research, drafting materials and assisting with the preparation of publications and insights, giving you the opportunity to develop your expertise while contributing to Georgeson’s market knowledge and external profile.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting analysis of corporate governance and sustainability practices across client and peer disclosures and governance frameworks, identifying potential investor, proxy advisor and ESG rating agency concerns and opportunities for improvement.
- Drafting agenda analysis reports on AGM documentation and shareholder resolutions to anticipate proxy advisor recommendations and potential voting outcomes, supporting informed client decision-making.
- Contributing to bespoke research and analysis of clients’ corporate governance and sustainability arrangements, identifying governance risks, anticipating investor concerns and assessing potential impacts on shareholder voting behaviour.
- Supporting strategic corporate governance and sustainability advisory for clients preparing for AGMs, EGMs and other shareholder events, helping to strengthen governance positioning and mitigate potential shareholder opposition.
- Drafting analysis and recommendations for senior client stakeholders, including board members and executive leadership, to support informed governance decisions and alignment with investor expectations.
- Developing and maintaining knowledge of corporate governance and sustainability principles, best practices and market developments across key European markets, ensuring advice reflects evolving regulatory expectations and investor policies.
- Contributing to governance insights and thought leadership through newsletters, proxy season reviews and client memos, strengthening client awareness of market trends and reinforcing Georgeson’s advisory expertise.

- Native or fluent proficiency in another European language.
- 1+ year of experience in executive remuneration, corporate governance and/or sustainability analysis.
Other key skills you will bring to the role:

- Excellent analytical, research and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting to senior stakeholders.
