Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head of Financial Planning in evaluating the quality of financial advice provided to clients
- Provide high-quality specialist support and guidance to Financial Advisers, ensuring advice meets industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support the growth and development of the paraplanning function by providing training, coaching and mentoring to new and developing Paraplanners.
- Manage team workloads, allocating tasks effectively and promoting best practices to ensure the delivery of high quality outputs, as the paraplanning team expands.
- Write suitability reports, including tax-efficient investment strategies and trust planning, create suitability report templates.
- Periodically review and update suitability report templates to align with regulatory standards.
- Responsible for reviewing and completing advice suitability checks on cases.
Technical Competencies:
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the regulatory financial sectors of both Jersey and the UK, including sales principles challenges, and best practices.
- Financial Analysis: Ability to analyse financial data and provide insights for complex cases.
Report Writing: Proficiency in writing detailed suitability reports, including tax-efficient investment strategies and trust planning.
- CRM Software Proficiency: Familiarity with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is essential. Should be comfortable navigating CRM systems to manage customer interactions, track inquiries, and maintain accurate records.
- Data Entry and Management: Proficiency in data entry tools and attention to detail are important.
Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and standards that govern our industry and the ability to ensure that the service they provide complies with these requirements.
Presentation Skills: Ability to create and improve presentation materials for client meetings.

Qualifications and Experience:
ESSENTIAl:
• Level 4 Qualified from a Financial Industry recognized institute.
• Experience of Financial Planning in Jersey & the UK
DESIRABLE:
• Additional Professional/Industry Qualification
• Minimum degree level education (not essential)
