Position: Business Support Assistant
Responsible to: Operational Director
Hours: 37 Hours a week : Monday to Thursday 08.00 – 16.00, Friday 08.00 - 15.30
Salary: £26,012.48
Job Purpose
The main purpose of the job is to ensure the smooth running of all administration for the Company along with day-to-day operations for the business which will span across all of our operational functions including telephone handling, recruitment and HR administration, rota and general administration such as diary management and meeting organisation.

Key Responsibilities
• Daily usage of office software, including email, spreadsheets and databases
• To develop and ensure the effective maintenance of electronic and manual filing and record keeping systems
• To answer the telephone in a professional and courteous manner
• To be supportive of incoming enquiries, including taking independent action where appropriate to resolve administrative matters and those not requiring specialist expertise
• To ensure a courteous, effective and efficient welcome is given to visitors
• Maintain supplies of stationery and equipment
• To prepare adequately in advance of meetings e.g. typing agendas, and taking minutes
• To support the Company with full administration of recruitment and HR administration for the company
• Preparing in advance recruitment packs/online options to send to applicants
• Participating in shortlisting and interviewing of new staff
• Assisting with completing mandatory checks for new staff such as DBS, references and medicals and checking Right to Work for staff.
• Assist in the preparation of employment contracts, job descriptions and person specifications
• Assist with HR administration for disciplinaries, maternity, starters, leavers, updating personal information etc
• To populate trackers to ensure Management Information is accessible and accurate
• To take personal responsibility for ensuring the resolution of a wide range of enquiries including those from external sources in a timely manner
• To provide direct support in handling all e-mails and written correspondence incoming to the office
• To assist diary management ensuring liaison with all relevant parties to organise meetings and schedules effectively

• As the Business Support Assistant you will be handling confidential and sensitive information, this information must be kept confidential at all times
• Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and support to complete audits to CQC standards
• To act as an ambassador to NurtureCare, upholding and promoting our corporate values
• To comply with NurtureCare information governance policy as well as ensuring a clean and tidy desk policy and sensitive/confidential information is kept secure
• To ensure all NurtureCare materials are embedded with own branding (logo, using official master templates) and quality assuring quality before distribution
• Represent NurtureCare in a polite, professional manner, ensuring all onsite visitors and incoming calls are managed to the highest possible standard
• Support the implementation of NurtureCare’s policies and procedures

Mandatory Requirements
• Standard DBS and subscription to annual update service
