About this role

Rugby School Dubai is seeking an enthusiastic, organised and proactive Attendance Officer to join our thriving school community in November 2026. Based in the school reception, you will lead the day-to-day monitoring and improvement of pupil attendance and punctuality, working closely with teachers, pastoral teams and school leaders. You will also support the reception and administration team, helping to ensure the smooth and professional running of the school.

Rugby School Dubai (RSD) opened its doors in August 2026. It is the next chapter of Rugby School's legacy, where British heritage meets the UAE's forward ambition. Guided by the ethos, "The Whole Person, The Whole Point," we pair academic depth with pastoral strength so pupils grow in scholarship and in self. Across rigorous academics, sport, performing arts and music, leadership and service, and House life, every experience will help each child find their voice, expand their horizons, and lead with purpose.

This is more than a school; it is a community where character leads achievement and tradition inspires tomorrow. The school takes pupils from FS1 to Year 13 and is located in the Nad Al Sheba district of Dubai. We are proud members of the Aldar Education group.

About you:

- The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy school environment.

Desirable

- Experience working in a school or educational setting.

Personal qualities

You will be warm, approachable and professional, with the ability to stay calm in sensitive or challenging situations. You will be discreet, reliable and proactive, using your initiative to solve problems, and flexible enough to balance attendance responsibilities with front-of-house duties. Above all, you will be committed to the wellbeing, safeguarding and progress of every pupil, and to contributing to a welcoming school community.

Shortlisted candidates based in the UAE will be invited into school for interview and further assessment. Overseas candidates may be invited to take part in an online interview.

Rugby School Dubai is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to satisfactory references, police clearance and qualification verification, in line with KHDA requirements.
