Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a Java Backend Lead to lead a team of Java developers and deliver high-quality, scalable backend applications and systems. The role focuses on Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, RESTful services, databases, and cloud-enabled solutions.
The Java Backend Lead will translate business requirements into technical solutions, guide development activities, resolve technical issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support innovation. The role contributes to business objectives by delivering reliable Java-based solutions for large enterprise environments while maintaining quality, scalability, performance, and delivery standards.
Software Requirements
Required Software Skills
- Java: Extensive knowledge of Java programming and related technologies; experience developing and maintaining Java-based applications and systems.
- Spring Boot: Hands-on experience developing backend applications and services using Spring Boot.
- Microservices: Practical experience designing, developing, integrating, and supporting microservices-based applications.
- RESTful services: Experience designing, developing, consuming, and maintaining REST APIs.
- Databases: Experience working with databases, data access, SQL, transactions, queries, and database integration.
- Cloud computing: Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and their application to Java and microservices solutions.
- Agile and Scrum: Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
- Development versions: Experience working with the Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST, database, cloud, and development tool versions used by the assigned Synechron project.

- Lead a team of Java developers and support high-quality software delivery.

- Proven experience leading or mentoring a team of Java developers and supporting high-quality software delivery.
- Advanced certification in Java development or a related technical discipline is preferred but not mandatory.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development through technical training, certifications, knowledge sharing, and practical experience with evolving technologies.
