Job Summary
As a member of the site leadership team the HR Manager acts as a true business partner and provides a full range of professional support and guidance covering recruitment, compensation & benefits, talent management, learning & development, health & safety, HR Systems, labour relations and employee engagement. Act as an advisor to management and employees at all levels within the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Play a key role in the overall development of the site strategy as a member of the SLT ensuring that HR has input into key site decisions and operates as a true business partner.
- Support the Director, HR, HVP Value Stream and the business as appropriate with the Implementation of critical 'global / 'regional' and key 'local' HR projects.
- Provide confidential counseling to senior leaders and colleagues on all HR matters.
- Plan and lead HR related change processes on plant level.
- Manage the recruitment and selection of employees at all levels of the organization. Promoting and positioning the business as an employer of choice. Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure staffing needs are met and conduct a thorough analysis and propose an offer based on partnership with Compensation team.
- Provide support to all departments and business units on resource requirements and employee relations issues.
- Deliver on key HR and site KPl's.
- Manage and facilitate performance and talent management processes and programs, individual development plans and succession planning activities.
- Guide managers in the effective performance management of their teams/ employees, ensuring that Issues are addressed in a timely manner.
- Support line managers and employees with grievances and corrective actions. Providing input and support as required.
- Lead, manage, address, and resolve employee relations concerns, including conducting thorough and objective investigations while keeping the appropriate parties informed.
- Support the design, implementation and ongoing administration of key compensation & benefit arrangements.
- Manage the monthly payroll.
- Facilitate training programs in partnership with the Talent Development team and through training needs analysis to enhance the competencies of the workforce. Conducts training on topics such as HR processes, change management, employee development programs and employment law and leadership.
- Support department managers with organizational training by developing and managing training systems and processes for the organization (induction, upskilling, technical training, development talent etc.).
- Build an employer brand in the marketplace.
- Lead in the continuous improvement of HRs processes- playing an active and key role supporting the team in continuous improvement initiatives/projects.
- Responsible for the execution of training for the team; identification of training requirements for the team.
- Manage the team’s performance, conduct performance 1 to 1’s, support recruitment, training and development plans while addressing any issues that arise in a timely manner.
- Own the development process for each team member. Delegation of development objectives and activities Assigning tasks, reviewing work, and completion of appraisals in line with the company's targets.
- Maintain a positive employee relations atmosphere. Ensure that there is good communication and co-operation by encouraging knowledge sharing.
- Lead/support as appropriate the review and updating of all company HR policies, procedures and related documentation to ensure the business is compliant with the prevailing employment legislation In Ireland, EU and also in line with West policies and procedures.
Additional Responsibilities
- Drive Continuous Improvement of the HR software systems to include liaison with the relevant software suppliers and corporate IT.
- Responsible for the coordination and delivery of various HR / business initiatives, e.g. Employee Survey, West without borders etc.
- Responsible for the monthly reporting of all key HR KPI data in support of the business.
- Ensure effective HR administration systems are in place and managed efficiently and comply to relevant legislation on data privacy and data retention.
- Manage and handle the offboarding/termination process including exit interviews and systems changes; schedule, conduct exit interviews and analysis of trends.
- Manage the HR Budget and support the annual business budget process.
- Demonstrates the leadership and commitment with respect to the quality management system and with respect to customer focus as outlined In the IS09001/15378 standards.
- Act in accordance with the company's Guiding Principles and adherence to the corporate Code of conduct.
- Compliance with all local Environmental, Health and safety regulations.
- Compliance with all local company policies, procedures, and corporate policies.
- Other duties as required.
Education
- Masters/Degree in Human Resources or business-related discipline.
- CIPD Membership.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- 8+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably GMP/ISO regulated.

Travel Requirements
10%: Up to 26 business days per year
