OPS (Temporary) RECEPTIONIST

FLORIDA DEPARTMENT of VETERANS’ AFFAIRS

Lake City, Columbia County

Hourly Rate: $15.38

This is a 15-20 hour a week position

Shift: Evenings, every other weekend and some holidays

Paid Bi-Weekly

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must be able to communicate effectively in English: speaking, reading, and writing

- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Must have basic computer skills

- Must be willing and able to work evenings, every other weekend, and some holidays

- Must be willing and able to work in Lake City, Florida

- Successful completion of the due diligence process to include, but not limited to, a ‎Level II background check and drug test

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word, Excel and Outlook)

- Receptionist experience in a medical or Long-Term care facility

POSITION DESCRIPTION :

The incumbent will be responsible for handling several administrative duties, which include assisting the general public, customers, visitors, and other interested parties.

- Answers phones and routes incoming and in-house calls

- Takes and delivers accurate messages to appropriate staff members in a timely fashion

- Assists residents, families, and other visitors with any questions

- Assist with making doctor appointments for residents

- Performs basic bookkeeping, filing, copier, fax machine and other clerical duties

- Shred paperwork as needed

- Performs other routine office duties as instructed by supervisor

This is an OPS (Other Personal Services) position.
