Catholic Charities of Baltimore is seeking a Brand and Design Manager to lead the development and stewardship of the Agencys visual identity, translating organizational priorities into compelling and cohesive communications. Serving as an organization-wide resource, the position provides creative direction and consultative expertise to leaders and programs across diverse audiences and initiatives. The role exercises judgment in balancing strategic objectives, stakeholder needs, quality standards, resources, and deadlines. Through effective brand leadership and visual storytelling, the position strengthens recognition of the Agencys mission, supports engagement and philanthropy, and enhances public trust.

The work schedule is Monday to Friday 9 AM - 5 PM (hybrid 2 days remote and 3 days in office).

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Leadership and Brand Accountability

- Implements the Agency marketing plan in partnership with the Director of Communications, providing brand and design expertise that advances strategic priorities and strengthens the Agencys public presence.

- Maintains and enforces brand guidelines across all digital and print channels to ensure consistent visual identity and messaging in fundraising campaigns, event materials, and public communications.

- Serves as the internal brand guardian by developing accessible design templates and style guides that empowers program staff to produce accurate, consistent, and on-brand content.

Project and Vendor Management

- Manages creative development within established timelines, approved budgets, and Agency procedures to deliver accurate, high-quality materials on schedule.

- Selects and coordinates with printers, photographers, freelance designers, and other creative vendors within established purchasing procedures, monitoring quality, cost, specifications, and delivery to ensure successful project completion.

Creative Production

- Designs and produces brochures, displays, posters, publications, presentations, and online newsletters that communicate Agency priorities and engage intended audiences.

- Designs appeals, event materials, and other content for the Development department that support fundraising goals and align with approved campaign messaging.

- Creates approved advertising materials that meet Agency standards and effectively promotes its initiatives.

- Manages the production of physical and digital signage across the state in collaboration with the Director of Communications, ensuring each project meets approved requirements, brand standards, and deadlines.

Administration and Support

- Compiles and maintains a comprehensive catalog of projects, expenses, and outcomes to support accurate tracking, budget oversight, and reporting.

- Coordinates the management of Agency archives volunteers and keeps records organized, accurate, and accessible.

- Represents the Agencys communications team at community projects, public events, social gatherings, and business meetings to build positive relationships and enhance Agency visibility.

- Attends and actively participates in departmental and Agency meetings as required, contributing relevant brand and design expertise to support informed decisions and coordinated work.

- Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications, marketing, communications, or related field. An equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and professional experience may be considered.

- Three (3) years progressively responsible experience in graphic design, brand management, visual communications, creative production, or a closely related field.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

- Ability to organize and prioritize work and the flexibility to manage changing priorities; communicate effectively in oral and written form; interact effectively with culturally diverse populations; pay strict attention to detail; work independently and as a productive member of a team.

- Demonstrated ability to work independently with sound judgment, consistently meeting established timelines and creating a favorable image for the Agency.

- Skilled in interacting with department and agency staff at all levels, fostering positive and productive relationships.

- Proven capability to manage competing priorities, handle challenging situations, and perform effectively under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.

- Always maintains a professional demeanor and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced nonprofit environment.

- Possesses exceptional knowledge of best practices in graphic design, digital media, and printing, ensuring high-quality and impactful outputs.

- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications and Canva, and demonstrated knowledge of print design, prepress, production, digital media, advertising, content management systems, photography, and promotional materials. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and the ability to communicate and present recommendations effectively to varied audiences are required.

- Proficiency in computer systems and software necessary to perform the position's functions, including Windows, web-based applications, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and OneDrive.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

- Repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers, including tasks such as typing, data entry, or handling small objects. These repetitive activities may occur throughout the workday and require attention to ergonomics to ensure comfort and minimize strain.

- Assessing the accuracy, neatness, and completeness of assigned work to ensure it meets quality standards and adheres to established guidelines.

- Remaining in a stationary position, which may involve standing or sitting for extended periods, as required to complete tasks or duties associated with the role.

- Moving about to accomplish tasks or transitioning between different work sites, which may involve walking, standing, or traveling to various locations as required by the role

- Adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all directions, which may include lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or repositioning items as necessary to perform job duties.

- Hearing and vision abilities, with or without correction, sufficient to drive safely and effectively observe and communicate with others.
