Position Summary

The Program Director, Transformational Integrations is a senior leader within the Global Integration Management Office (IMO) responsible for leading the firm's most complex, strategic, and transformational integration programs.

The role provides end-to-end leadership from diligence and integration planning through execution and value realization. These integrations typically involve significant organizational, operational, technology, cultural, and business transformation and require extensive coordination across executive sponsors, functional leaders, acquired organizations, and external advisors.

The Program Director acts as the senior integration leader responsible for driving integration outcomes, managing enterprise risk, and ensuring realization of transaction objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Integration Leadership

- Lead large-scale integration programs from diligence through post-close execution.
- Establish integration strategy, governance, and execution approach.
- Develop and maintain integrated program plans across all workstreams.
- Drive accountability for integration milestones and deliverables.
- Identify and escalate key risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions.

Executive Stakeholder Management

- Serve as primary integration advisor to integration executive & sponsors.
- Facilitate executive steering committees and governance meetings.
- Drive alignment among business and functional leaders.
- Provide ongoing updates regarding progress, risks, and opportunities.

Business Transformation

- Lead integrations involving significant operating model and organizational change.
- Coordinate enterprise-wide transformation initiatives resulting from acquisitions.
- Drive implementation of future-state business designs and operating models.
- Guide integration teams through complex change initiatives.

Program Governance

- Establish governance structures, decision forums, and escalation pathways.
- Monitor program health through metrics, milestones, and risk assessments.
- Maintain executive-level reporting and communication materials.
- Manage integration budgets and external advisor activities where applicable.

Due Diligence and Planning

- Support acquisition due diligence activities.
- Assess integration complexity, risks, and readiness.
- Develop Day One, Interim State, and End State integration strategies.
- Ensure diligence findings are incorporated into execution plans.

Value Realization

- Partner with value creation, deal sponsors and business leaders to track transaction objectives.
- Monitor synergy, value creation, and strategic initiative progress partnering with value creation.
- Escalate threats to value creation.
- Drive corrective actions when needed.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree required.
- 12+ years of experience leading large-scale transformation, integration, or strategic change initiatives.
- Significant experience leading merger integration, separation, or acquisition-related programs.
- Experience managing complex enterprise-wide initiatives across multiple functions.
- Demonstrated success influencing senior executive stakeholders.
- Strong program leadership, governance, and change management experience.
- Exceptional executive communication and presentation skills.

- Professional services industry experience.
- Consulting experience with a large advisory or strategy firm.
- Experience supporting cross-border transactions.
- Experience integrating organizations exceeding 1,000 employees.
- MBA or other advanced degree preferred.

The base salary range for this position is between $172,000 and $296,000. Placement within the pay range is at Grant Thornton’s discretion, and it is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, job -related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, progression within the role, geographic location, and internal equity. At Grant Thornton, compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
