About this role
• Senior-level, hands-on experience in building automation or AI/agent systems end-to-end — able to operate with high autonomy on greenfield build, writing/shipping code personally rather than delegate
• Strong cloud engineering experience; AWS experience preferred, given Experity's existing AWS footprint, but not exclusionary — general cloud/LLM-architecture depth matters
• Hands-on experience with LLM/agentic architecture patterns (orchestration, tool-use/function-calling, RAG where relevant) framework-agnostic; production experience is what matters, not any one specific stack.
• Understand the difference between an AI product/tool, an LLM, and the underlying model
• Know how to select the appropriate model for a task based on capability, latency, and cost
• Understand the tradeoffs between models—for example, when to use Opus vs. Sonnet vs. Haiku, or comparable models from OpenAI and other providers
• Be comfortable using AI for code generation, debugging, refactoring, codebase exploration, testing, and documentation
• Know how to provide good context/prompts, validate AI-generated code, and recognize when not to rely on AI
