About this role
The Projects & Releases Manager is responsible for planning deliverables and ensuring the successful delivery of initiatives related to the mobile digital product. This role oversees integrated project management activities, coordinates release operations, and ensures adherence to timelines, quality standards, and organizational objectives.
YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
- Own and optimize the delivery process for mobile digital initiatives, supporting both Agile and Waterfall project delivery methodologies within the Connectivity team.
- Coordinate the various stakeholders involved in product initiatives, including:
Mobile Development
- Vehicle Development
- Quality Assurance
- External Partners
- Strategy and Go-to-Market Teams
- And other cross-functional stakeholders
- Align engineering deliverables and validation activities with backend and mobile deployments.
- Prepare for and participate in project governance and steering committees.
- Maintain and evolve the mobile product release management strategy.
- Develop and manage release deployment schedules.
- Coordinate release readiness and production deployment activities.
- Ensure proper integration and management of dependencies across teams and projects.
- Organize and facilitate assessment, validation, and Go/No-Go decision meetings.
- Oversee functional, technical, and operational validations prior to production releases.
- Coordinate deployments through:
Apple App Store
- Google Play Store
- Manage contingency plans and rollback strategies.
- Ensure the quality, reliability, and stability of delivered releases.
- Provide clear visibility into timelines, risks, and deliverables.
- Produce status reports and executive dashboards (Agile Project Management Boards) in collaboration with Product Managers and other stakeholders.
- Manage task assignments and resource allocation across project contributors.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management and delivery practices.
- Identify opportunities to automate release and deployment processes.
- Ensure delivery compliance with organizational standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technology project management.
- Significant experience delivering mobile digital products.
- Experience in release management and deployment coordination.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is considered an asset.
- Bilingualism (French and English).
- Strong knowledge of both traditional and Agile project management practices.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to manage schedules and adapt timelines in dynamic environments.
- Strong risk management and dependency management capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating production releases.
- Solid understanding of iOS and Android mobile ecosystems.
- Strong collaborative leadership skills.
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
