Whats the role?
In this role you will deliver the financial reporting requirements for a range of real estate clients.
What youll be doing
- Supervising/coaching/mentoring and delegating tasks to more junior members of staff
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records in the accounting database
- Preparing and reviewing quarterly management accounts and reporting packages
- Preparing financial statements for a wide range of client structures under UK GAAP or IFRS standards
- Liaising with auditors in respect of the financial audit of client entities
- Ensuring that financial statements prepared are completed and signed off within client, statutory or regulatory deadlines
- Attending client meetings in respect of accounting matters as required
- Preparing Net Asset Values, drawdown, distribution and equalisation
- Assisting with the creation and maintenance of client specific accounting policies and procedures
- Liaising with external contacts to obtain required information
- Assisting with and contributing to ad hoc projects as required
- Carrying out all aspects of role in accordance with relevant procedures and controls
The ideal background for this role:
- Recognised accounting qualification (ACCA or ACA)
- At least 3 years accounting experience
- Strong expertise in UK GAAP or IFRS particularly in real estate structures
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience in producing financial statements under UK GAAP and IFRS
- Experience of developing and coaching others on a one-to-one basis
- Good knowledge and understanding of current industry legislation and regulation & working practices
Role Location/Hybrid Schedule
This role is based in our Jersey office. Although the nature of most of the roles within Gen II cannot be classed as totally flexible, there is scope in some cases for a form of Agile Working. The different ways in which Agile Working can be undertaken is dependent on the demands and needs of the business, the office space available and the individuals preferences and circumstances.
