Job Summary

As a Hardware Lead, you will assist the Hardware Team Leader in the day-to-day operation of the Hardware department. You will aide in maximizing sales and profitability and controlling expenses while ensuring the department is optimally stocked and merchandised, and that all customers are provided with excellent customer service.

Job Description

### Experience Required: 0 to 6 months
Experience Desired: Experience in like industry i.e.: hardware, plumbing, electrical, construction, contracting background desired
Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent
Lifting Requirement: Up to 50 pounds
Age Requirement: At least 18 years of age

Job Responsibilities

- Maintain a safe and clean environment to ensure health and OSHA requirements are met.
- Provide products and services that meet the requirements of internal and external customers at all times and abide by the company's statement of values.
- Assist Team Leader with scheduling employees and delegation of work assignments, effectively utilizing employees and supplies to maximize the store's profits.
- Assist Team Leader with inventories by tracking weekly reports and ordering raw materials and supplies in order to meet customer requirements and maximize profits.
- Stock merchandise and maintain shelves and displays including product rotation.
- Answer customer questions by responding pleasantly and accurately.
- Assist in the implementation of merchandising plans using guidelines and suggestions in order to meet financial objectives of the store.
- Ensure proper procedures are being followed so that the store meets out-of-stock percentage goals.
- Assist in monitoring operations, seeking ways to control company costs and increase profitability, and utilize supply chain excellence.
- Maintain communication processes with other departments in order to develop marketing plans which help to meet the financial objectives of the store.
- Maintain accurate department records and ensure documentation of activities are available.
- Assist with designing and building displays and working with other departments as needed.
- Keep department clean by assisting with clean-ups and sweeping as necessary.
- Make bales by operating paper baler.

The hiring range for this position is $15.50– $15.75 per hour/year. This range represents the anticipated base pay for this role. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and location.
