About the Role
As a Director for Relationship Management , you will play a leading role in managing and growing ANZ's relationships with German corporate and institutional clients. You will deepen existing relationships, originate new business opportunities, and deliver tailored banking solutions that meet client needs while generating sustainable returns for ANZ.
Working closely with colleagues across Institutional Corporate Finance, Markets, Transaction Banking and Risk, you will drive opportunities from origination through to execution, coordinating product partners and leading transactions. This role requires strong relationship management and execution capabilities, sound commercial judgement and a commitment to delivering outstanding client outcomes.
You will collaborate with teams across Germany, Europe and the broader ANZ network to deliver revenue, return and risk objectives, while leveraging ANZ's global capabilities to win new business, expand existing relationships and support long-term client success.

What will your day look like?
As the Director for Relationship Management, you will:
- Manage and grow relationships with German corporate and institutional clients, identifying opportunities to deepen engagement and expand ANZ's share of wallet
- Originate and execute new business opportunities by partnering with product specialists across Transaction Banking, Markets and Institutional Corporate Finance
- Develop client strategies and account plans that identify growth opportunities and deliver integrated banking solutions
- Lead transaction execution while coordinating stakeholders across Coverage, Credit, Risk, Legal and Product teams
- Monitor portfolio performance, maintain disciplined risk management practices and ensure compliance with ANZ's governance and regulatory requirements
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Deep Institutional Banking experience, with a proven track record of managing complex corporate relationships and delivering sustainable business growth
- Strong relationship management experience with German corporates and institutional clients
- Proven success originating and executing corporate banking opportunities across lending, transaction banking and related products
- Demonstrated ability to balance business growth with disciplined credit, risk and portfolio management
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to develop customer strategies, identify cross-sell opportunities and drive client outcomes
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams and functions
- Native or fluent English and German language skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior executives, treasury teams and key decision-makers
- Experience in Relationship Management, Transaction Banking or other Institutional Banking client-facing roles
- Experience developing and executing strategic account plans for large corporate clients
- Exposure to cross-border banking solutions and multinational client relationships
- Strong understanding of the German corporate banking landscape and market dynamics

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is Euros 125,000 to 140,000 annual.
This range is determined by the job, location and level of expertise required for this specific role. The final salary offered will consider your capabilities, skills and knowledge.
