About this role
RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
- This technician will perform tasks of high complexity on electrical (including working with voltages up to 480 vac), electronics, a wide variety of PLCs, programming of PLCs, AC / DC motors and drives, installation and troubleshooting of relay and PLC controlled equipment.
- Will be required to perform basic mechanical troubleshooting, repairs, and minor fabrications as needed.
- As part of the maintenance mechanics team associate will be required to perform basic mechanical troubleshooting, repairs, and minor fabrications as needed.
- Will also be expected to help cover other areas as a general mechanic as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work in a standing position for the duration of the shift
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as needed (Occasional heavy lifting, frequent lifting up to 25 pounds)
- Ability to access equipment for repairs (squat, bend, kneel)
- working with electronics and PLCs
- Ability to read schematics. Ability to read as well as understand instructions for electronic, electrical, mechanical, tasks.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Excellent safety record and work habits.
- Able to work well with all departments.
- Able to work various shifts and work overtime as needed.
- Processing knowledge preferred, but OJT provided for candidates with the right qualifications.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma/GED
- At least five years previous experience in industrial maintenance.
- Must have 2-5 years experience in working with electronics and PLCs.
- Must have own tools.
