Total Access Specialists/Senior Account Specialists generate and maintain sales, gross profit growth and new account activation through dedicated outreach and engagement with customers predominantly through the telephone. This is achieved through maintaining and growing existing customer sales volume; connection with prospective customers to gain new account business; and active pipeline management. Effective collaboration with Regional Company District Managers, Store Personnel and field colleagues is critical. The Specialist / Senior Account Specialist will grow the business to achieve title promotion levels as illustrated in the Total Access Career Paths document.
The Total Access Specialist / Senior Account Specialist will cultivate existing customer relationships , support gross margin growth , and achieve new customer attainment by managing a portfolio of customers and prospects that comprises the Associate’s “Portfolio” which includes all accounts assigned in SAP to the Associate’s ER salesman code. Business will be gained through thoughtful customer touch; collaborative negotiation ; and thoughtful portfolio strategy using the company’s CRM system.
What you’ll bring to the team:

• Make outbound telephone calls to stay connected with existing customers and welcome new account prospect opportunities. We value proactive outreach to support the achievement of key gross margin growth goals. Manage your portfolio effectively by connecting with customers at regular intervals (monthly). Ideally, you'll spend around 40% of your time engaging with customers on the phone.
• Receive inbound phone calls from customers, providing courteous, professional service to ensure an exceptional experience.
• Guide conversation paths through collaborative negotiation of fair pricing while supporting Airgas value and growth .
• Attend training sessions offered to remain current on product knowledge, market insights, sales skills, software changes, and new procedures. Continue to enhance these skills through self-study and supportive coaching sessions .
• Use the company’s enterprise resource planning system, SAP, to document sales quotes and orders. Apply clear operational practices provided by the training team.
• Accommodate customer returns and credits attentively . Partner with the BSC Credit Department to maintain accurate accounts so that payment details reflect correctly.
• Use the company’s CRM system, Salesforce.com, as a sales planning tool. This includes building comprehensive customer profiles by logging contact details and capturing key insights such as industry, employee count, and partner landscape . Use the opportunity feature to manage retention and growth for each customer. Aggregated opportunities should support daily goals to maintain a healthy sales pipeline. Document cases that illustrate where business is at risk or has been lost to foster continuous improvement .
• Utilize value-added tools such as e-market capabilities, airgas.com, marketing materials, and the Field Specialist Network when beneficial to meet customer needs.
• Partner with Sales Managers to grow your communication strengths through collaborative coaching .
• Collaborate on budgeting and portfolio planning .
• Assist with welcoming , training, or mentoring peers upon request.
• Be an engaged, supportive participant in Team and Departmental Meetings.
• Perform all other position-related contributions as needed .

## Required Qualifications :
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• Prior sales experience/customer service at Airgas
• Strong self-motivation
• Ability to interact well with others
• Able to work well as a member of a team
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines
• Occasional travel required
• College degree preferred
• Industrial distribution or knowledge of PPE, Welding and Gases preferred
