Responsibilities:
- Define, maintain and optimize process parameters to ensure operational stability, quality and performance.
- Ensure compliance with procedures, process control and the monitoring of critical production variables.
- Analyze process performance, identify the root causes of recurring issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Define and prioritize improvement projects based on operational results and customer needs.
- Act as the owner of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) activities and control plans for the processes under their responsibility.
- Support operations teams in resolving technical problems, training employees and implementing best practices.
- Participate in development projects, mill trials, research activities and the evaluation of new technologies.
- Collaborate with research centres, suppliers and technical partners to improve processes and product quality.
- Promote a culture focused on health and safety, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in a role related to metallurgical processes.
- Experience in the steel industry or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of wire rod, wire drawing, galvanizing or pickling processes is considered an asset.
- Excellent computer and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate in French and English.
- Availability for occasional international travel.
