About this role
We’re looking for a Social Media Manager with deep knowledge of the bear community, strong creative instincts, and an intuition for what it takes to inhabit a voice and produce breakthrough content and connections across multiple social media platforms. You’ll shape Growlr's social presence and bring it to life through compelling content, meaningful conversations, and campaigns that give people a reason to connect.
The right person understands Bear culture, humor, events, and diversity. You bring a clear creative vision, recognize which trends fit our audience, and turn ideas into consistently strong posts, reels and stories. In this role you’ll:

- Help shape a recognizable voice that is welcoming, humorous, confident, and authentic to the bear community.
- Write copy and produce or coordinate graphics, short videos, stories, memes, community spotlights, and promotional content tailored to each platform (X vs Instagram vs YouTube).
- Maintain a content calendar, organize assets and approvals, and use internal scheduling tools to keep posts timely, accurate, and consistent.
- Follow social media developments, emerging formats, bear events, and relevant queer conversations. Apply trends intelligently and contribute original ideas.
- Identify opportunities to work with bear creators, influencers, event organizers, venues, and community partners.
- Work with the team to translate app features, updates, and campaigns into content that resonates with users.
- Track engagement, audience growth, traffic, and app acquisition were measurable. Use those insights to test ideas and improve results.
- Reflect a range of bodies, backgrounds, and experiences, respect member privacy and content permissions, and exercise sound judgment in sensitive conversations.
- Work alongside the Growlr software product team to help guide feature priorities
