Decoding The Role:

Editas Medicine is seeking a Study Coordinator to join our DMPK, Nonclinical Safety, and Translational Science Team. The Study Coordinator will be integral to supporting the development of our nonclinical pipeline from target nomination to regulatory submission by tracking and coordinating timelines, activities, samples and data within and across functional groups. This is a 6 month contractor role.

Characterizing Your Impact:

As a Study Coordinator in the DMPK, Nonclinical Safety, and Translational Science Team, you will:

- Timeline & Progress Management: Build, track, and manage nonclinical timelines, ensuring all activities and deliverables remain tightly on target to meet critical program milestones.
- Information & Document Control: Ensure all study documents and reports are meticulously organized and readily accessible to all contributing study authors and scientists.
- Sample Logistics: Coordinate the end-to-end flow, shipment, and receipt of biological and chemical samples to contributing scientists across functional groups.
- LIMS Data Integrity & Innovation: Ensure all study documents and data are appropriately entered into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Partner directly with the Informatics team to build out new templates and streamline data workstreams as needed.
- Data Organization: Synthesize and organize study data to directly support study leads during the creation of high-stakes presentations and reports.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Serve as a communications hub to keep all internal and external contributors fully informed regarding timeline shifts, sample status, incoming data, and final reports.

Requirements

The Ideal Transcript:

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

- BS with two years of experience in a biotech, pharmaceutical, or CRO environment, specifically supporting nonclinical or translational studies

- Strong proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, ThinkCell)
- Experience with sample tracking and shipping
- Experience with LIMS such as Benchling

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with in vivo study protocols, and familiarity with assessments to support nonclinical safety and pharmacology studies (in-life assessments, clinical pathology, histopathology, PK/TK analysis, PD biomarkers)
- Skills with Excel, Smartsheet and GraphPad Prism
- Experience in the gene-editing or gene therapy space

Pay Range:

$40-$45/hour
