Job Description Summary
Under limited supervision, uses extensive knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to identify and implement opportunities for assigned products including product enhancements, and process improvements with potential for improved client/advisor service, increased operational quality, efficiency, and cost savings. Serves as a subject matter expert on mortgage banking origination, pricing, technology, operations, and general business practices. Operates as a senior individual contributor responsible for product development, implementation, and ongoing product management. Leads complex cross-functional projects and initiatives with significant scope and impact through influence, subject matter expertise, and stakeholder alignment. Works on assignments that are broad and complex in nature requiring originality, judgment, and ingenuity with latitude for unreviewed actions or decisions. Works closely with Mortgage Banking leadership to translate business strategy and priorities into product plans, priorities, and execution roadmaps, ensuring product enhancements address key opportunities and deficiencies. Partners with business development teams to create strategies for product positioning and education. End results are evaluated for achieving goals and objectives.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Analyzes market, client, advisor, operational, and business needs to define line of business product strategy, product offerings, product positioning, and short- and long-term product plans.
- Serves as a general subject matter expert on Mortgage banking origination, pricing, operations, and general business practices.
- Collaborates with project teams to represent the product
- Leads cross-functional implementation and execution of technology, new products, product enhancements, and process improvements; establishes clear objectives, dependencies, timelines, decision points, and expected outcomes.
- Leads updates to procedures, policies, and governance documentation.
- Coordinates and governs forms, application, and legal agreement enhancements.
- Serves as liaison between Private Client Banking Training and Sales Support on training for new technology, product, and process enhancements.
- Leads on-field communication with Sales Support to support product enhancements and launches.
- Takes responsibility for all aspects of the life cycle of assigned products, including product development, implementation, positioning, distribution, servicing, ongoing maintenance, and performance, to ensure seamless delivery and alignment with business strategy.
- Collaborates with IT and other partners on the assessment, business requirements, testing, and implementation of IT systems and software that support business strategy, process improvements, broker- dealer integration and risk management.
- Stays abreast of market, industry, regulatory, client, and competitive trends; independently evaluates product performance and identifies opportunities to improve products and business processes based on data and feedback from the field.
- Probes and evaluates complex product, organizational, process, and systems issues; develops reports of findings, alternatives, recommendations, and business cases to support product and project decisions.
- Develops business cases and success metrics for product enhancements and strategic initiatives, ensuring measurable business outcomes.
- Identifies and manages product-related risks, dependencies, regulatory considerations, and implementation constraints.
- Provides regular reporting and recommendations to Mortgage Banking leadership regarding product performance, roadmap priorities, and strategic opportunities.
- Evaluates and develops business cases supporting product and process improvements.
- Develops and maintains relationships across business units, inclusive of PCG, and communicates product strategies, decisions, and implementation actions in a clear and tailored manner to support the strategic direction of mortgage banking and the broader organization.
- Leads resolution of complex advisor and client issues related to mortgage products.
- Maintains currency on mortgage banking industry changes, trends, process improvement techniques, methodologies and practices.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge of

- Principles, practices, concepts and procedures of mortgage banking and lending, credit, banking and financial markets and products.
- Product management to include product development, implementation, automation, and ongoing maintenance.
- Established organizational policies, strategies and procedures for RJB Mortgage banking and lending.

Skill in

- Data Analysis.

- Organizational skills, including a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Effective oral and written communications sufficient to convey details on mortgage banking product and processes with all organizational levels
- Word processing, spreadsheet and typing sufficient to produce spreadsheets with basic formulas and business form letters and memos.
- Promoting effective coordination between multiple work groups and functional areas.
- Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications.

Ability to

- Lead complex product development, implementation, and life-cycle management efforts and translate business strategy into clear product priorities, objectives, roadmaps, and execution plans.

- Balance conflicting resource, project, and priority demands; establish clear deliverables, ownership, timelines, and escalation paths across cross-functional initiatives.

- Organize, manage and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment with frequent interruptions.

- Identify and recommend changes as appropriate to policies and procedures.

- Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

- Identify required tasks, develop timelines and execute.

- Partner with other functional areas to accomplish objectives and orient product decisions around the key needs of clients and advisors.

- Facilitate meetings, ensuring that all viewpoints, ideas and problems are addressed.

- Speak clearly and concisely and convey information clearly and effectively through oral or written communications.

Bachelor’s: Business Administration, Bachelor’s: Finance, Bachelor’s: Management Information Systems
