About the Role: We are currently hiring Commercial Electricians to work on commercial electrical projects in the Lincolnton, NC. area . Experience in commercial new construction or remodels is required. This role is ideal for strong commercial electricians.
This is a full-time temporary position for a project expected to 5-8 months. You must live within commuting distance of Lincolnton, NC.
Compensation:
- $25.00 - $40.00 per hour, pending experience and active state electrical license.
- Typical weeks are 40-50 hours.

Travel:
- This role will be local / commuting distance to Greater Charlotte, NC.

Duties / Expectations:
- Perform all types of conduit bending with any bender apparatus, including 90s, kicks and offsets.
- Install raceways, boxes, and cables.
- Install light fixtures, devices, and cover plates.
- Install electrical switchgear, including components such as switchboards, panels, load centers, motor control centers, breakers, transformers, and disconnect switches. Use multi-meters for measuring voltage, amperage, resistance, and more.
- Connect branch circuits, including terminations, panels, and equipment.
- Perform basic trouble shooting and testing of electrical systems.

Additional Duties:
- Assist other employees as needed.
- Help team with wire pulling activities.
- Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and jobsite.
- Handle and organize materials. Assist with inventory.
- Pick up and deliver materials as needed.
- Attend all safety classes and meetings.
- Continually upgrade skills and knowledge through research and education, working toward next apprentice level.
- Present clean image with a positive attitude and demeanor. Follow instruction from senior team members.
- Maintain good working relationships with team.
- Observe safe work practices and follow safety procedures.
- Assist team in maintaining a safe work environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 6,000+ verifiable hours worked in the electrical trade
- Valid state issued Driver’s License
- Current state Electrical Apprentice license When required by State Licensing entity

- Current OSHA 10 certificate
- Employment may be contingent upon completion of a background check consistent with applicable law and company policy.
- Proficient with timesheet or payroll software.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Formal trade school or apprentice program completion
- Commercial experience to include new construction and remodel of big-box retail stores
- Current OSHA 30 Certificate
- Current Elevated Work Platform certificate
- Current First Aid & CPR certificate
- Current Lock Out/Tag Out Training certificate

Requirements (Physical requirements will vary between job sites and peak periods)

- Advanced knowledge of electrical theory.
- Comprehend and apply NEC knowledge.
- Basic understanding of NEC calculations.
- Basic knowledge of control systems and components.
- Understand construction trades.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Working knowledge of basic hand tools and voltage testers.
- Ability to understand and communicate work instructions and safety information effectively.
- Spanish oral communication language skills a plus.
- Ability to travel by car and plane, with overnight travel for extended periods of time.

- Walk, climb, lift, bend, squat, kneel, push, pull, twist, and reach overhead routinely and repetitively. Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Regularly work from elevated spaces for extended periods of time, including ladders, man lifts, scaffolding, or reach booms. Climb ladder with 30 pounds.

Working Conditions: Work is performed on construction sites in a variety of weather conditions. Travel nationwide, up to 100%, sometimes with short notice (non-travelling short-term jobs are available from time to time depending on project availability). Shifts and hours vary by project but will include night and weekend shifts.
