Company Description : John W. Stone Oil Distributor, LLC is the local leader in dockside, mid-streaming, and offshore fueling along the Mississippi River, from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Venice, Louisiana, and into the Gulf of Mexico.
Position: Dockman Fourchon
Reports To : Facility Manager
Worksite : Dockside Facility in Fourchon, Louisiana (on-site sleeping accommodations are available).
Work Schedule: 14 days (7 days / 7 nights) on / 7 full days off. 12 hours per shift.
Headquarters : Located in Terrytown, Louisiana.
- Load and discharge liquid cargo to and from docks, vessels, trucks, tote tanks, and shore tanks.
- Perform tankering/bunkering operations.
- Complete and submit paperwork, including sales tickets, daily reports, and the like in a timely manner.
- Offload trash and used oil filters from vessels.
- Update job logs on an ongoing basis.
- Maintain cleanliness of the facility.
- Operate a fork lift.
- Maintain equipment.
- Troubleshoot problems.
- Complete sale tickets along with other necessary paperwork
- Track inventory.
- Repackage inventory.
- Basic computer skills.
- Able to work unsupervised.
- Adhere to and comply with company and safety policies, United States Coast Guard Regulations, and environmental laws and regulations.
- Other duties that may be requested by Director, Supervisor or Executive Management as needed
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- At Least 18 Years of Age.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Reliable Transportation to and from Work.
- High School Diploma (or its equivalent).
- Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
- Basic Computer Skills.
- At Least Six Months of Heavy Manual-Labor Work Experience.
- Fuel or oilfied experience a plus
- Crane and Forklift expereince preferred
