1st SHIFT FORKLIFT OPERATOR-WAREHOUSE PICKER
WORK SCHEDULE
Individual schedules and shift times may be adjusted at the discretion of the employer in order to meet business operational needs. Shifts will generally be staffed as follows:
SHIFT 2: 6:am – 2:30pm
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- All Forklift Operators must understand and adhere to AB-InBev quality control guidelines when loading and unloading beer. They must be able to read code dates and be able to rotate beer into proper storage locations.
- It is the responsibility of all Forklift Operators to work in accordance with the policies for BDC and the standard operating procedures of BDC.
- All employees should treat each other with courtesy and dignity, thereby creating a harmonious working atmosphere.
- No food or drinks are allowed on Forklifts or in Warehouse Coolers. Food and drinks need to be eaten in the break room . No food should be eaten unless you are on your 15-minute rest period or lunch.
- All Forklift Operators are directly responsible to the Shift Supervisor. Any questions about job situations or problems that arise while working should be directed to the Shift Supervisor.
- All 1 st shift Forklift Operators are responsible for bagging ice each day that it is needed. If the freezer is full, the ice machine is to be cut off. Check daily.
- All 1 st shift Forklift Operators are responsible for dunnage area being kept straight and stacked correctly at all times.
- The designated 20-day person is responsible for the out-of-date area. It should be kept straight and cleaned at all times.
- All 1 st shift Forklift Operators are responsible for keeping the repack room straight and clean. They are also responsible for checking code dates and stocking repack materials. The repack room needs to be kept in a clean operating condition by all.
- All Forklift Operators are responsible for general cleanup of the drive thru, WHSE #1, & WHSE #2. Trash needs to be put into receptacles. When the trashcans are full, they need to be emptied into the dumpster. The floors need to be scrubbed at least twice a week. Anytime there is liquid on the floor it needs to be cleaned up promptly.
- Built up pallets must be built up so the route drivers can easily reach each different package on each pallet.
- All 20-day beer must be marked when loaded on a route truck and must be segregated in the warehouse.
- All 20-day beer that comes back into the warehouse should be on separate pallets per driver. It is worked by Forklift Operator and put in warehouse #1. It is then checked and counted by the supervisor.
- No out-of-date products allowed in the repack room.
- Any repacked beer must have the oldest code date in the container marked on the outside.
- No out-of-date beer should ever go out of the warehouse in any B.D.C. or other vehicle.
- No beer will be loaded on any vehicle that does not meet Anheuser-Busch image guidelines. Ex.: Bays, cab, and vehicle clean.
- All Forklift Operators are expected to do any other duties as may reasonably assigned by management.
- A bill of lading should be filled out by the Shift Supervisor, accounting for all items being returned to the brewery. The bills need to be signed by the Forklift driver and the driver picking up the load. The driver is given copies. A copy is retained in the warehouse office and the rest of the copies are forwarded to the front office.

REPACKING:
- All repacking is done daily from either shift, but primarily on 2 nd shift. All repack beer is counted by shift and truck damage noted on repack sheet. It is checked by the supervisor before worked. After work is completed, the supervisor will check completed work before putting beer away. Repack materials should be stocked up daily by 2 nd shift Forklift Operator. Any shortages should be reported to supervisor.
Qualifications
Company minimum requirements:
At least 19 years old. Some positions age requirements may be different.
Meet and maintain physical requirements.
High school graduate or GED
Able to pass criminal background check, pre-employment physical with lifting requirements and drug screen.
Must have 3 years of forklift experience in a distribution environment.
This is a hands on job that can be physically demanding with bending, lifting of cases up to 25 lbs. and moving loaded hand carts up to 200 lbs.
