About the Position:

We are looking for a MFE Preproduction Manager to join the MFE Preproduction (NAFTA) team, reporting directly to the Sr Manager Pre-Production Engineering Strategy .

This position is based at our office in Juarez.

As the MFE Preproduction Manager at Marelli, you will be responsible/support/elevate.....

Your Responsibilities will be:

- Lead regional machinery management strategies across NAFTA facilities.

- Establish and standardize equipment specifications, maintenance requirements, and operational best practices.

- Develop long-term asset management, refurbishment, replacement, and lifecycle plans.

- Maintain visibility and control of critical equipment health and performance.

Maintenance Excellence

- Standardize maintenance systems, processes, and governance across manufacturing sites.

- Drive Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), and Corrective Maintenance programs.

- Implement reliability-centered maintenance practices.

- Benchmark maintenance performance and deploy best practices throughout the region.

Reliability & Operational Performance

- Improve equipment reliability, uptime, and operational readiness.

- Lead initiatives focused on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) improvement.

- Reduce downtime through systematic root cause analysis and corrective actions.

- Support TPM and Lean Manufacturing deployment.

KPI Management & Audits

- Conduct machinery, maintenance, and facility audits throughout the NAFTA region.

- Monitor and review:

OEE

- Equipment Availability

- MTBF

- MTTR

- Preventive Maintenance Compliance

- Downtime Performance

- Maintenance Cost Performance

- Spare Parts Management

- Develop and drive action plans based on audit findings and KPI performance.

Layout & Capacity Planning

- Lead standardization of machinery layouts across preproduction facilities.

- Optimize operations considering productivity, material flow, safety, ergonomics, and future growth.

- Support equipment installation, plant expansions, transfers, and relocation projects.

- Conduct equipment capacity and utilization analyses.

Project & Supplier Management

- Manage regional machinery improvement projects and capital investments.

- Collaborate with equipment manufacturers, contractors, and service providers.

- Participate in equipment acceptance, commissioning, and validation activities.

- Support implementation of strategic manufacturing initiatives.

Leadership & Team Development

- Develop maintenance and machinery management competencies across the region.

- Coach Maintenance Managers, Supervisors, Planners, and Engineering teams.

- Foster a culture of accountability, reliability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

- Influence and coordinate multi-site teams without direct authority when required.

Global Collaboration

- Serve as the NAFTA representative for machinery and maintenance initiatives.

- Collaborate with global engineering, manufacturing, and maintenance organizations.

- Support deployment of corporate standards and best practices

What Qualifications you will bring:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field.10+ years of experience in manufacturing, maintenance, machinery management, reliability engineering, or industrial engineering.
Experience managing multi-site manufacturing operations.
Strong knowledge of:

- TPM

- Reliability Engineering

- Asset Management

- Lean Manufacturing

- Maintenance Systems (CMMS)

- Predictive and Preventive Maintenance

Proven experience leading audits, performance reviews, and improvement initiatives.Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.Ability to travel up to 70% within the NAFTA region
## Other skills that we would welcome:

- Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP).

- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.PMP Certification.Experience with Industry 4.0, predictive analytics, and smart maintenance technologies.

- Experience in automotive, electronics, or high-volume manufacturing environments.
