GENERAL SUMMARY
Our ClydeUnion Pumps site in Glasgow has a rich history, providing pump systems and solutions to global businesses in the Oil & Gas, Petrochem and Power/Energy industries. We are now looking for a Quality Document Controller to join the Quality team on a temporary basis.
ROLE SUMMARY
The QDC shall conduct activities in relation to contract realisation in accordance with the company’s quality management system, across all product lines that are purchased, manufactured, assembled and serviced within the Glasgow (Cathcart) facility. Working in accordance with company policies and procedures to meet external regulations to deliver standards such as: ISO 9001, ISO29001 & ASME Certificates of Authorisation.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
- Review/ Approval, compilation and completion of Quality Records, allowing submission to customers in accordance with applicable Quality Plans and defining documents.
- Coordinating with internal departments to resolve product Quality problems and provide advice, guidance and support on all aspects and matters concerning Quality within your sphere of knowledge.
- Issuing of technical documentation for customers, aimed at verifying organisation’s products’ reliability, safety, and guarantee.
- Supporting the development of Quality procedures and standards, and updating quality procedures as legislative or best practice changes occur.eg QMS Docs
- Conducting audits, where trained, in accordance with the applicable audit programs for Cathcart site in line with ISO9001:2015, ISO 14001 and any other industry standards supporting the business functions, including the completion of supporting documents.
- Support process related incident investigations.
- Support closure of project NCR`s, prior to goods shipment
- Reasonable management requests
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Experience checking, collating and managing documentation
- Excellent communication (both written and oral), influencing and interpersonal skills
- Highly professional conduct
- Ability to work to tight timescales and embrace change
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft office applications
- SAP or other ERP system knowledge desirable
You must have valid right to work in the UK and be able to obtain Security Clearance to apply for this role.
