Introduction:
The Principal Engineer for Power Architecture leads and mentors engineers in designing and delivering SoC power architectures. This role defines custom integrated circuit (IC) architectures across system design, software, and implementation, translating them into detailed execution plans.
Your Job
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with system hardware, system software, RTL design, DFT, physical design, foundry technology, and IP design teams to define robust SoC power architectures.
- Develop and evaluate SoC power-management hierarchies to recommend the optimal architecture.
- Assess switchable and multi-voltage domains, back- and forward-body biasing, and dynamic voltage and frequency scaling (DVFS) to recommend effective power-management and reduction techniques.
- Define execution plans, robust methodologies, and clear documentation to guide implementation teams.
- Champion the development, deployment, support, and maintenance of state-of-the-art, scalable processes and methodologies using AI/ML and EDA technologies.
- Mentor and lead a high-performing engineering team.

- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years of semiconductor industry experience, including 12+ years in technical leadership and 3+ years in people management.
- Deep expertise in SoC power-management architecture.
- Proven experience with early-stage (“shift-left”) power assessment strategies for SoCs.
- Broad understanding of system-, software-, and silicon-level power architecture solutions.
- Strong knowledge of power-optimization techniques for sub-nanometer foundry technologies.
- Expertise in industry-standard power-intent specifications, such as Unified Power Format (UPF).
- Exceptional leadership, project-management, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex power and timing challenges.
