This position supports our paint department by preparing vehicles for refinishing and assisting in delivering high-quality repairs that meet Ford and customer standards.

Body Shop Paint Prepper / Apprentice Job Responsibilities

- Sand, mask, clean, and prepare vehicles and parts for paint

- Prime repaired panels and perform final surface preparation

- Assist painters throughout the refinishing process

- Remove and reinstall moldings, trim pieces, and minor components as needed

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

- Follow all safety and shop procedures

- Inspect work to ensure quality standards are met

Qualifications

Body Shop Paint Prepper / Apprentice Qualifications

- Previous automotive paint prep experience

- Ability to sand, mask, and prepare vehicles for paint

- Strong attention to detail

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Positive attitude and strong work ethic

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods

Corporate requirements: Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving record, able to pass a criminal background check and pre‑employment drug screen.
