The Aircraft Mechanic II inspects, troubleshoots malfunctions, rigs, repairs and modifies aircraft structures, structural components and aircraft systems of moderate difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, ventilation, heating and cooling systems and mechanical components, applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies required expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation; applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems . This worker reads and interprets manufacturers’ and airline’s maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.Lockheed Martin is seeking a structures mechanic who performs periodic, hourly, special, calendar inspections, TCTOs and DEPOT level inspections. Individual must have a thorough knowledge of C-130 aircraft mechanical components with the ability to troubleshoot, adjust, repair and replace parts/components; requires broad working knowledge of C-130 aircraft systems to include hydraulics, engines and structures. Mechanic must have basic knowledge of electrical theory and a thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, and dial indicators, micrometers and support equipment, powered and non-powered. This mechanic must be proficient in the documentation of AFTO 781forms, Integrated Maintenance Information System (IMIS) and Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS). Duties require that this mechanic: Perform DEPOT level structural repairs and providing guidance/training on structural repairs to other employees. Additionally, this individual will also be required to perform other miscellaneous aircraft services to include but not limited to: Towing, jacking, leveling and cribbing.

Basic Qualifications

Individual must have a thorough knowledge of C-130 aircraft mechanical components with the ability to troubleshoot, adjust, repair and replace parts/components; requires broad working knowledge of C-130 aircraft systems to include A/R, crew chief, hydraulics and engines. Mechanic must have basic knowledge of electrical theory and a thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, and dial indicators, micrometers and support equipment, powered and non-powered. This mechanic must be proficient in the documentation of AFTO 781forms, Integrated Maintenance Information System (IMIS) and Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS). Duties require that this mechanic: Perform DEPOT level mechanical repairs and providing guidance/training on repairs to other employees. Additionally, this individual will also be required to perform other miscellaneous aircraft servicing to include but not limited to: Towing, jacking, leveling, cribbing, engine runs, re/defueling and LOX servicing.

Desired Skills

Four years of C-130 expereince. AFSOC C-130 expereicne. Prior Isochronal or letter check experience a plus.
