About the Position:

The Oracle Fusion Cloud Developer enables seamless business operations on Oracle Fusion Cloud by building and maintaining custom technical components (integrations, extensions, reports, and data migrations) while ensuring performance, scalability, and compliance with Oracle best practices. The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to investigate complex issues, understand dependencies across connected enterprise systems, and provide practical, evidence-based recommendations.

This role is available to be based anywhere in North America, provided the employee is based in a province or state where ALS operates.

Specific Responsibilities:

Technical Solution Delivery

- Translate business requirements into scalable technical designs.

- Build and maintain Oracle Fusion Cloud technical solutions, including integrations, extensions, reports, and data migration processes.

- Ensure all customizations follow Oracle Cloud best practices and remain upgrade safe.

- Participate in full lifecycle implementations, enhancements, testing, releases, and support activities.

- Apply structured analysis and problem-solving where requirements, causes, or solutions are not immediately clear.

- Work within Agile and software development life-cycle practices, including sprints, epics, user stories, estimation, backlog management, testing, release activities, and Scrum calls.

Integration Architecture & Support

- Own end-to-end integration flows between Fusion Cloud and external systems.

- Develop and support integrations using OIC, REST/SOAP APIs, SFTP, file-based interfaces, and secure data-exchange methods.

- Understand connected cloud, identity, and enterprise-system dependencies in order to build and support the required Oracle-side functionality.

- Support Oracle solutions that interact with services such as Azure Function Apps, Entra ID, and Active Directory; coordinate platform configuration with the appropriate technical owners.

- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve integration failures in OIC, ATP, Fusion, and connected environments.

- Maintain integration documentation, mapping sheets, technical designs, and support guides.

Reporting & Data Management

- Deliver operational, analytical, and statutory reports using Fusion reporting tools.

- Manage data migration activities using FBDI, ADFdi, and BICC.

- Ensure data accuracy, reconciliation, validation, audit compliance, and appropriate error handling.

- Investigate data and process issues across source systems, integrations, and Fusion Cloud; identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.

Cloud Infrastructure & Security

- Work with OCI services such as Object Storage, Functions, API Gateway, and Logging.

- Support security configurations including OAuth, certificates, confidential applications, roles, permissions, and secure credentials.

- Understand authentication, authorization, an identity dependencies relevant to Oracle integrations and automation scenarios.

- Ensure compliance with organizational and cloud security standards.

Cross Functional Collaboration

- Partner with functional consultants, business users, project managers, and technical teams.

- Provide technical guidance, impact analysis, effort estimates, options, and recommendations.

- Use Excel, PowerPoint, and technical documentation tools to analyse information and present findings to technical and business audiences.

- Participate in design workshops, testing cycles, Agile development, and production cutovers.

- Communicate progress, risks, assumptions, dependencies, and blockers in a timely manner.

Production Support & Continuous Improvement

- Manage assigned incidents, service requests, defects, and delivery tasks, maintaining clear status updates, analysis, resolution notes, and supporting documentation.

- Provide L2/L3 support for technical issues across integrations, reports, extensions, and related Oracle services.

- Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes.

- Investigate ambiguous technical issues and provide clear findings, options, and evidence-based recommendations.

- Identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and process improvement.

- Use approved company AI/LLM tools responsibly and effectively to support analysis, documentation, development, and productivity.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Strong hands-on experience in Oracle Fusion Cloud Technical development.
- Expertise in Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and cloud adapters.

- Proficiency in PL/SQL programming and UNIX/Linux scripting.

- Solid knowledge of Oracle ATP / Autonomous AI Database administration and optimization.

- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, SFTP or FTP integrations, and FBDI processes.

- Strong background in reporting tools: BIP, OTBI, and BICC.

- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services.

- Working knowledge of enterprise integrations, secure authentication, and identity/access concepts, including Entra ID and Active Directory dependencies.

- Working knowledge of Agile and SDLC practices, including sprints, epics, user stories, estimation, backlog management, testing and release activities.

- Ability to investigate complex or unclear issues, analyse technical evidence, and provide sound recommendations.

- Ability to use Excel, PowerPoint, and technical documentation tools to analyse and communicate information clearly.

- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.

- 3+ years of overall IT experience with strong exposure to enterprise applications.

- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle Fusion Cloud Technical development.

- Experience supporting technical solutions across integrations, reporting, data migration, incident investigation, and enterprise application support.

- Oracle certifications such as: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Certification, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Certification, Oracle Fusion Cloud Technical Specialist Certifications, Oracle Autonomous Database Certification

Our benefits include:

- For roles based in Canada, the estimated annual salary range is $100,000 - $125,000 CAD at the time of posting. Compensation ranges may differ for roles based in other locations. Individual compensation is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and/or training.
