About this role
About Mecka AI
Mecka AI is building the data infrastructure layer for robotics and embodied AI.
We design and operate global systems for data capture, data labeling, and hardware-enabled workflows used by leading AI labs and robotics companies to train and validate humanoid and embodied AI systems.
We work closely with frontier robotics teams to bridge real-world data, simulation, learning-based systems, and deployed hardware.
The Role
You'll build the manufacturing processes and supplier capability that put Mecka's capture hardware into use around the world. Your work will determine how consistently we produce it, how quickly production can grow, and how well devices perform throughout their working life.
The role combines technical leadership of production readiness, capacity, supplier quality, and repair operations with hands-on process and tooling development. You'll turn measurements from the factory floor into lasting improvements in design and production. We're looking for depth in one or both of these areas:
- Manufacturing program leadership: production readiness, supplier engineering, capacity planning, and product quality.
- Process development: assembly, joining, interconnects, calibration, fixtures, and production testing.
What You'll Do
- Develop production readiness and capacity plans with suppliers, aligning assembly, tooling, quality, and delivery requirements.
- Build and qualify fixtures, calibration equipment, and production tests with engineering teams and suppliers.
- Use yield, cycle-time, and failure data to find production constraints and verify corrective actions.
- Improve designs for manufacturing.
- Establish repair, rework, and requalification processes that return devices to service.
- Guide suppliers through technical reviews, process qualification, and changes that improve quality, output, and cost.
What You Bring
Must-have:
- Experience taking electronic hardware, sensors, or wearable products from development builds into production.
- Hands-on skills in assembly process development, fixture design, production testing, and factory troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of process qualification, measurement repeatability, statistical process control, and supplier quality.
- Ability to connect manufacturing variation to physical defects and changes in product performance.
- Experience working with engineers and suppliers to document processes and resolve difficult production problems.
- Ability to travel frequently to Shenzhen.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with flexible circuits, textiles, adhesives, sensor calibration, or repair operations.
## A Note on Applying
Studies show women and candidates from underrepresented groups often only apply when they meet 100% of the listed qualifications, while others apply after meeting 60%. If you don't check every box above but believe you can do the job, we encourage you to apply — we're looking for capability and trajectory, not a perfect checklist match.

Use of Artificial Intelligence in Recruitment
Mecka uses artificial intelligence (AI) responsibly to support administrative and efficiency-focused aspects of our recruitment process. This includes activities such as drafting job descriptions, generating interview questions, note-taking and recordings, and supporting sourcing and scheduling workflows. All candidate evaluations, interviews, and hiring decisions are made by members of the Mecka team. While AI tools may assist with screening and assessment, they do not replace human judgment in selection decisions.
