POSITION SUMMARY
The Operations Manager is responsible for leading the development and training of personnel within the core branch to ensure a skilled workforce. This role oversees the initiation and planning of all projects within the region, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The Operations Manager manages and reports on Core5 KPIs across all projects, supervises teams of Construction Managers, Project Managers, and Superintendents, and ensures efficient operations through effective resource allocation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead the development and training of personnel within the core branch to ensure a competent and skilled workforce.
- Supervise teams of Construction Managers, Project Managers, and Superintendents to ensure operational efficiency and effective project execution.
- Manage workloads effectively, ensuring that resources are allocated appropriately to meet project demands and deadlines.
- Collaborate with the Training and Development Department to perform skill and tool training for scheduling and other operational tasks.
- Support a culture of accountability, professionalism, and high performance within the branch and field teams.
- Partner with HR, Safety, and Training departments to support compliance, training, and team development.
- Maintain full awareness of the scope and performance levels of each branch team member.
Project Execution & Oversight
- Oversee the initiation and planning of all projects within the region, aligning them with organizational goals and objectives.
- Ensure all projects have documented schedules that accurately reflect current project standings.
- Conduct periodic job site visits to verify schedule adherence and ensure accurate reporting.
- Ensure that weekly customer reports are generated and sent per defined frequency and date of request.
- Collaborate with Account Managers in our project management software to document daily logs and critical path activities.
- Ensure that all changes in project scope are well documented, and that Account Managers communicate all variances in project expectations effectively.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Financial Management
- Oversee the budget-to-buyout exercise, ensuring Account Managers are planning projects with financial health and performance in mind.
- Supervise material purchasing, ensuring Account Managers utilize National Vendors where applicable and obtain competitive bids from localized suppliers.
- Manage trade partner finance allocation, working within defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to minimize risk to THS National.
- Manage and report on Core5 KPIs across all projects to track performance and ensure successful project delivery.
- Track performance and financial metrics using dashboards and reporting tools.
Client Communication & Reporting
- Ensure that weekly customer reports are generated and sent per defined frequency and date of request.
- Ensure that all changes in project scope are well documented, and that Account Managers communicate all variances in project expectations effectively.
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Organize and maintain a list of trades and supplier partners needed to execute multifamily capital improvement projects.
- Introduce and encourage the usage of National Supplier Partners to streamline procurement processes.
- Assist in sourcing trade partners necessary for project execution.
- Collaborate with leadership to set revenue goals, develop market strategies, and define operational objectives.
- Lead recurring operations meetings, ensuring structured agendas and follow-through on key actions.
- Conduct regular business process reviews and support implementation of SOPs for new services or business models.
- Develop knowledge of THS National’s history, goals, and structure to ensure alignment across branch operations.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction management or operations, focusing on project delivery and team management
- Experience in Multifamily construction strongly preferred
- Proven experience in managing multiple projects and leading diverse teams effectively
- Strong understanding of performance metrics with the ability to analyze and improve project outcomes
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, including Procore and Microsoft Office Suite.
