Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Budget Administrator to join our team! In this role the Budget Administrator provides customer SETA support by managing financial documentation, tracking expenditures, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting across programs and projects. This role supports budget planning cycles, maintains fiscal accountability, and coordinates financial workflows within a complex technical organization.

The successful candidate will manage multiple complex assignments, exercise sound judgment, and develop effective methods for addressing financial and administrative challenges.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide budget and financial management support to the customer SETA organization.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation, records, and supporting materials.
- Track program and project expenditures against approved budgets, funding plans, and forecasts.
- Monitor financial transactions and identify discrepancies, variances, or potential risks.
- Prepare accurate and timely budget, expenditure, and financial status reports.
- Support budget planning, execution, forecasting, and reprogramming activities.
- Coordinate financial workflows and information exchanges across programs, projects, and stakeholders.
- Assist with budget estimates, spend plans, funding profiles, and financial projections.
- Reconcile financial data and ensure consistency among financial systems, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Support customer leadership with financial analysis, reporting, and budget-related decision-making.
- Coordinate responses to financial data calls, audits, reviews, and reporting requirements.
- Maintain tracking tools, dashboards, and performance metrics, as applicable.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting accuracy, and workflow efficiency.
- Manage multiple complex assignments and develop practical, innovative approaches to completing work.
- Prepare and contribute to program deliverables, briefings, status reports, and performance metrics.
- Protect sensitive financial and program information in accordance with applicable policies and requirements.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or a related field and at least 5 years of relevant experience; or
- High school diploma or equivalent and at least 7 years of relevant experience.
- Experience supporting budgets, financial administration, program controls, accounting, or project management activities.
- Experience tracking expenditures and preparing financial reports.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a complex technical environment.
- Ability to analyze financial information, identify issues, and recommend solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with appreciable latitude while coordinating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience supporting Department of Defense, federal government, or other highly regulated programs.
- Familiarity with financial management systems, enterprise resource planning tools, or program management tools.
- Experience supporting budget planning cycles, forecasts, spend plans, and financial execution reviews.
- Experience developing performance metrics, dashboards, and executive-level financial briefings.
- Knowledge of project management, program controls, or earned value management practices.
- Contributes to customer deliverables and performance metrics, where applicable.
- Demonstrates sound judgment, initiative, accountability, and professionalism in managing financial information and workflows.

- Active TS SCI w/ Polygraph

Security Clearance Requirement:
An active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required for this position.​

Salary Range: $103,500.00 - $181,100.00
