The mission of the Retail Store Ambassador & Key Holder at Cozey
Reporting to the Store Manager, the mission of the Retail Ambassador & Key Holder is to give every customer a great furniture shopping experience and keep the store running smoothly from open to close, including when management isn't on site.
After the success of our stores in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary and Montreal, we're opening our Edmonton flagship at the West Edmonton Mall on November 17 and building the founding team now. This is a full-time, in-store role at West Edmonton Mall. In-person training starts November 2.
What you'll be doing
- Greet customers and guide them through the collection, giving furniture and design advice that fits their space and how they live.
- Learn our products inside out (features, materials, configurations) so you can answer any question with confidence.
- Resolve customer issues quickly and professionally, and own them until they're fixed.
- Capture customer details, create draft orders and follow up promptly, so a store visit turns into an order, in person or online.
- Own opening and closing routines, making sure the store is secure, set up and ready every day.
- Be the point of contact when management isn't on site, supporting the team and keeping the customer experience consistent.
- Keep displays, layouts and merchandising aligned with Cozey standards, and the store clean and organized at all times.
- Coach new teammates and flag ways to improve how the store runs, especially in the first months while routines are being built.
We'd love to hear from you if you have
- 1 to 2 years of experience in retail sales or customer service. Key holder or shift lead experience is an asset.
- A friendly, approachable way with customers, and clear communication, both verbal and written.
- Reliability. The team counts on you to open and close the store on time, every time.
- Attention to detail and the habit of leaving a space better than you found it.
- Full-time, flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays and in-person training starting November 2.
- Comfort with physical work, including standing for long shifts and lifting up to 50 lbs when reorganizing the store. Interest in furniture, home décor or lifestyle retail is an asset.
We care about you
- Competitive hourly wage of $26/hour, plus a performance bonus tied to store goals.
- Paid time off and group insurance.
- Endless opportunities for personal a nd professional growth in a fast-growing start-up.
- A role where your strategies and decisions directly influence the company's operations and growth.
- A workspace where everyone is welcomed, heard, and valued.
