Our team is responsible for various quality inspection responsibilities including receiving supplied material/parts, in-process inspection of product, and final acceptance product. The Quality Inspector will also be responsible for reviewing completed work instructions and inspection checklists for errors, improvement suggestions, lot traceability, and record retention.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities as a Quality Inspector:
· Receiving Inspection of materials and services; involving physical inspection and review of vendor certifications
· Inspection of internally manufactured parts and final assemblies throughout all stages of production; including machining and testing.
· Responsible for inspection of product in accordance with customer requirements, industry standards, drawings, work instructions, quality inspection procedures, and retention of acceptance documentation/records.
· Additional responsibilities will include verification of calibrated gaging, and inspection devices and equipment.
· Inspection will require several disciplines; e.g., visual inspection, conventional metrology (height gages, gage pins, thread plug and ring gages), calipers, micrometers, functional gages, and programmable inspection devices.
· Other inspection responsibilities as needed
On occasion you may be asked to work overtime or second shift to meet customer delivery dates. Our mission as a team is to accommodate the customer and those rare business needs. This role may require an individual to stand for long periods of time.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications as a Quality Inspector:
· High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience, with above average written, verbal and computing skills.
· Experience interpreting drawings, use of inspection devices with minimal or no training required.
· The ability to work in a manufacturing environment, with high-level communication skills for problem-solving and communicating quality concerns with metrology personnel, machine programming technicians, manufacturing engineering and production management.
Preferred Qualifications as a Quality Inspector:
· Experience in a fast-paced machining and manufacturing environment
· Experience with Epicor and 1-Factory or similar data collection software programs
· Experience using and/or programming digital inspection equipment
· Experience with Quality Management Systems e.g. ISO 9001
