General Purpose of Job

Created Women Inc is seeking an Executive Director to lead their talented staff

team and work alongside an engaged Board of Directors. The ideal candidate would be a

collaborative leader that will bring leadership to all areas of the organization including: strategy,

programs, fundraising, operations, talent development and financial performance. This person

would also have a strong understanding of creating a trauma informed environment that

empowers the women we serve as well as the staff. They will be passionate about the mission of

the organization and able to speak publicly and engage in community networking. They will be

the face of the organization and, along with the Board of Directors, will be responsible for

ensuring the long-term growth and sustainability of Created Women Inc. The person in this

position has a wonderful opportunity to manage a stable and well- established organization and

oversee the annual operating budget of $1-2 million.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy and Visioning:

- Provide thoughtful and visionary executive leadership that is transparent.

- Lead long-range strategic planning in partnership with the Board of Directors.

- Ensure effective systems to track progress and measure successes that can be effectively

- Inspire, motivate, and lead a team.

- Hiring, interviewing maintaining staff.

- Supports staff in setting and achieving goals.

- Ensure that the agency delivers the best possible service to victims of human trafficking.

Fundraising and Communication:

- Understand and cultivate all existing and potential funding streams.

- Expand fundraising activities to support sustainability

- Maintain relational communication with donors.

- Serve as lead spokesperson for the organization.

- Become knowledgeable of the core functions of the services of the organization

Financial Management and Board Relations:

- Work in partnership with the Board and Operations Manager to manage the budget and

- daily financial operations

- In partnership with the Board and Staff, ensure effective budget development and

- Collaborate with and support the Board

- Partner with the Board to implement the strategic plan and identify areas of growth.

- Support effective Board recruitment, retention, evaluation, and training.

Other Responsibilities:

- Complies with all applicable training requirements.

- Complies with all company safety, personnel and operational policies and procedures.

- Complies with the work schedule to ensure effective operations of Agency programs.

- Contributes positively as a member of a productive and cooperative team.

- Performs other duties as necessary to fulfill Created’s Mission

- Possess strong work ethics.

- Ability to empathize and practice trauma informed care with those who have experienced

- various levels of trauma.

- Successfully pass a FDLE Level II background screening.

- Mission driven attitude supplemented with integrity and passion.

- A high level of openness and willingness to receive feedback/suggestions from superiors

- and others, and to learn new skills to improve job performance.

- Five+ years of successful leadership and management experience in a social services or

- related nonprofit with the proven ability to effectively manage and lead a growing

- Experience building and managing budgets and making sound financial decisions.

- Ability and passion to fundraise.

- Experience working with individuals from marginalized communities.

- Master Degree in Social Work, public Administration or Nonprofit Management
