Overview of Role

The Associate-VP will sit as a member of our Global Markets Solutions group in New York, specifically in the Private Capital Markets team focused on the origination and execution of private equity capital raises, including direct minority and hybrid capital solutions for growing and mature businesses, as well as distributed private capital solutions supporting sponsor liquidity strategies. The work is heavily skewed towards transactions rather than pitching, with a strong pipeline of deals.

The transaction types our Private Capital Markets team cover include:

- Private equity capital markets: raising equity and equity-linked capital for private companies
- Minority equity / non-control transactions
- Preferred & structured equity and/or hybrid capital transactions
- Syndicated minority transactions
- Growth equity and venture capital raises, including series B to pre-IPO rounds

Our team are experts in structuring and managing non-control equity transactions. We partner with our M&A sector coverage and debt advisory teams to provide capital solutions and strategic advice to clients on transaction options, structure, governance, investors, tactics, execution and implementation.

Primary Responsibilities:  This individual will support end-to-end deal execution, being involved in all aspects from initial pitch through to closing and ensuring a seamless transaction process. The ideal candidate is a mature, intellectually sharp professional with strong experience in Investment Banking & Capital Markets. The role requires the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and demonstrate adaptability and initiative. A strong work ethic, collaborative mindset, and eagerness to deepen expertise in the space are essential. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Day-to-day process management and coordination of transaction execution
- Preparation of financial models and other financial analysis
- Preparation of marketing materials and other transaction documentation
- Strategic analysis of governance and structuring options to meet client objectives
- Support transaction origination and sourcing activities, including the preparation of marketing materials and market research
- Maintaining organizational infrastructure / databases for the team

- Contribute to development and management of junior staff

Specific Qualifications:

- 4-8 years of work experience in Investment Banking, Capital Markets or related role
- Undergraduate degree required; Finance and/or Accounting preferred
- Demonstrable interest in private equity capital markets, with previous experience in private capital markets and/or M&A preferred

- Solid understanding of the Investment Banking & Capital Markets, deal processes, and strong relationships with market participants

- Track record of managing multiple projects concurrently in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Strong analytical, organizational, and Excel modeling skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as confidence interacting with executives at various levels
- Ability to support deal teams, set clear timelines and objectives, and uphold high execution standards
- FINRA Series 79 and Series 63 licenses required

Expected base salary rates for this role in our New York Office will be between $200,000 and $250,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, salary offers are determined on an individualized basis and are based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience and education. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and our Rothschild & Co employee benefits package, successful candidates may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
