Job Title: Section 504 and Campus Testing Coordinator
Location: Great Hearts Invictus Upper School
Reports to: Headmaster
FLSA STATUS: Salaried-Exempt, Full-time
Position Summary: The Section 504 and Campus Testing Coordinator supports the campus Section 504 program and testing to ensure the provision of services and compliance with all state, federal, and local requirements.
Qualifications:
Education and Certification:
- Valid/Current Texas Teaching Certification (strongly preferred)
- Knowledge of 504 and Texas testing processes and procedures
- Strong Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) skills, experience using Adobe Acrobat.
- Superior written and verbal communication and presentation skills; oriented towards detail, thoroughness, and accuracy.
- Experienced and comfortable interacting with individuals/groups at every level of the organization.
Experience:
- Bachelors Degree
- 1+ years of successful teaching, Section 504/MTSS, and/or intervention experience
- Experience working with students with disabilities in a K-12 school setting (preferred)
- Experience with data entry and input
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
The Section 504 and Campus Testing Campus Coordinator:
- Coordinates referrals, Facilitates evaluations/eligibility determination, Provides timely notices and consents
- Develops Section 504 Plans, facilitates Annual Review meetings, and monitors the implementation of accommodations
- Serves as a daily resource to Campus Administrators, Teachers, and Community Members regarding Section 504 issues and provides training to campus.
- Monitors and collects data on student progress/achievement; Maintains confidential files, records, and documents
- Establishes and maintains open communication with parents, students, colleagues, and community members.
- Supports and assists the Headmaster and Executive Directors in the performance of various testing and assessment responsibilities.
- Assist with state and local assessment coordination, schedule, and communication with academy testing coordinators and headmasters (in-person and distance learning).
- Provide support during state testing cycle for in-person and distance learning.
- Provide technical assistance support for teachers and headmasters during testing.
- Coordinate with the Headmaster and Executive Directors regarding testing, assessment, and data matters as needed.
- Work to address (generally) testing and assessment issues that get elevated and require executive attention at the academies.
- Apply the standard policies and administrative regulations of a Great Hearts Academy and those established by the local Board of Directors and Headmaster, in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Provide data reports when requested
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of Section 504 Federal Law, the Section 504 process, and MTSS procedures and compliance
- Ability to organize and facilitate interventions and services
- Good judgment in handling confidential information; Detail-oriented
- Flexibility in high-pressure situations; Ability to handle high-volume, fast-paced workload
- Knowledge of general education curriculum and instruction
- Knowledge of instructional accommodations
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Self-directed, detailed-minded problem solver
- Ability to facilitate student progress monitoring and interpret data
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of parents, students, and staff

Additional Requirements:
- Type of fingerprint clearance: Must possess or obtain valid Texas fingerprint clearance card.
- Physical functions: Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching. May be required to move or position equipment up to 15 pounds approximately.
- Travel required: May need to occasionally travel locally to the various academies within the metro area.
