About this role

POSITION SUMMARY

The RIC Lead will be directly responsible for the planning and execution of the kitchens staging process. Using given reports to organize production efficiently while proactively identifying potential issues such as shorts, incorrect product etc… In addition, RIC Leads will assist RIC Supervisor in keeping RIC on task during day to day operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Review documents, such as production schedules to assess requirements for Kitchen Preparation.
- Create staging plans for RIC to assist in preparation process.
- Calculate figures for required amounts of all kitchen recipe needs.
- Arrange and Label supplies needed for service production.
- Confer with purchasing, kitchen staff and management to coordinate production plans, communicate missing product and give updates on staging progress.
- Maintain log of staged items that includes what has been prepared and where it has been stored.
- Ensure RIC are completing daily required tasks per opening/Closing checklists
- Assist RIC as needed with general required tasks including receiving, issuing, and invoice/PO reconciliation.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation standards required by the kitchen and health department.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position requires the ability to problem solve and to interact with all levels of staff, including management.  Hours and weekly schedule vary due to function needs.  Employee is regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods.  Must be able to withstand loud noise and temperature changes in the environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have working knowledge of proper food handling and storage
- Ability to use, maintain, and train others in the use of basic food service and kitchen equipment.
- Must have ability to follow directions and effectively perform the work required.
- Must know how to operate a 10-key calculator.
- Must be able to lift, push/pull or carry up to 100 pounds.
- Must be able to walk, stand and lift for reasonable periods of time.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Basic knowledge of PC applications such as Excel and Word, CBORD System a plus.
- Must have a pleasant personality and neat appearance.
- Must be a member in good standing of the local Union.
