Job Description:
The Paralegal will provide legal support to CMN across Music Touring and Booking, Marketing, Live Events, and Non-Profit matters, reporting directly to the General Counsel & Corporate Counsel. Responsibilities include managing the legal calendar and intake requests, prioritizing pending matters, and reviewing contracts related to upcoming promotional events and concerts. The ideal candidate is highly organized, business-minded, self-motivated, and an effective communicator who takes initiative, works independently, and adapts quickly. They bring a practical, creative approach to problem-solving, collaborate well with others, and demonstrate strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Manage and prioritize work flow, track a large number of projects, communicate well with others and work independently as needed.
- Manage Legal Calendar, pending items and checklists, including request prioritization and follow up, organizing and storing files on the CMN server, Microsoft Teams, securing signaures from other parties, etc.
- Ability to review legal documents (i.e. incorporating comments/ redlines and circulating for internal approvals) and draft legal documents based on existing templates.
- Assist with any compliance issues and request/ provide certificate of insurance (COI)
- Perform any other assigned duties or projects.
What You Bring To The Table:
- Licensed Paralegal Certificate from an accredited school or Bachelor’s Degree with relevant experience.
- Minimum of at least (1) year paralegal experience required (experience in-house as paralegal is a plus)
- Professionalism, discretion, and ability to maintain strict confidentiality is required
- Must pocess highly effective written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented with superb critical thinking skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments, aggressively follow up, while delivering consistent, quality work-product
- Experience in reviewing contract and filling in template agreements is preferred
- Accepts ownership of projects and is successful driving projects, as well as daily tasks to a successful conclusion
- Strong research skills and proficient in identifying and effectively resolving any questions or issues
- Ability to work independently in a fast-pased environment but with a team-oriented approach
- Responsive and collaborative attitude to any project requests, emails, calls and departamental/ personnel needs while exhibiting clear and consice email etiquette
- Ability to perform under pressure, managing multiple projects and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook), Adobe, etc.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
Payscale: $26.44-$33.65
Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
