BAE Systems is looking for a Strategy & Project Lead for the Environmental Effects Engineering (EEE) team and serves as the primary strategic integrator, operational coordinator, and senior advisor to the EEE Section Lead. This role is critical in driving cohesion, standardization, and performance across Precision Strike and collaborating with the enterprise-wide network of environmental and EMI test laboratories.

As the Precision Strike EEE organization expands its capabilities in EMI/EMC, Dynamics, and Climatics, the Strategy & Project Lead ensures unified operations and harmonized execution across a broadening organizational footprint. This is a high-visibility technical leadership role focused on operational excellence, technology investment planning, and workforce alignment across the NSS test site and third-party facilities.

Role Responsibilities include:

Strategic Integration & Vision
- Executive Partnership: Partner closely with the EEE Section Lead to define and execute a unified vision for the PS test organization, ensuring alignment with broader BAE Systems objectives.
- Capability Expansion: Lead the strategic rollout of EEE design and test capabilities, ensuring that the integration of environmental, EMI/EMC, dynamics, and climatics labs is seamless and scalable.
- Enterprise Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between internal test laboratories and external 3rd party test facilities to optimize resource utilization and technical synergy.
Operational Excellence & Governance
- Standardization: Establish common standards for technical documentation, work requests, and quality systems across all EEE activities.
- Process Harmonization: Develop and deploy common design and test strategies, including asset-sharing models and cross-site work-share planning.
- Performance Metrics: Lead the deployment and governance of baseline metrics to track bidding accuracy, asset utilization, throughput, cost, and schedule performance.
Planning & Resource Optimization
- Long-Range Planning: Support the strategic roadmap for future laboratory expansion, consolidation, and the alignment of capabilities across various BAE test sites.
- Capital Investment: Develop comprehensive business cases for the modernization or acquisition of critical equipment (e.g., chambers, EMI test equipment, shakers, and thermal systems).
- Workstream Alignment: Coordinate EEE work packages to ensure balanced resource allocation and the synchronized execution of test events.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- ​​​​​​​ Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years work experience or equivalent experience
- Experience leading or managing complex engineering laboratory environments
- Experience with Military EMI/EMC and Environmental requirements and test environments
- Project management experience including management of budgets and schedules
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Ability to interpret complex metrics across diverse test disciplines to drive operational improvements
- Solutions-oriented attitude when navigating ambiguity or competing high-priority requirements
- Understanding of MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461 test procedures and methods
- Experience with strategic road mapping and capital acquisitions

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $136000 - $231200

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
