What We Need:
Are you passionate about the automotive industry and energized by helping dealerships grow? iHeartMedia Automotive is seeking an experienced Automotive Marketing Consultant who understands the dealership business, thrives in face-to-face client relationships, and knows how to build innovative marketing strategies that drive traffic, leads, and vehicle sales. We're looking for someone who has spent time in dealerships, around dealerships, or working directly with automotive retailers. The ideal candidate understands the challenges dealers face every day, from inventory fluctuations and market share battles to lead generation and fixed operations growth. They can confidently sit across the table from Dealer Principals, General Managers, Marketing Directors, and agency partners, uncover business opportunities, and recommend solutions that produce measurable results. This is more than a media sales role. What You'll Do:
As an Automotive Marketing Consultant with iHeartMedia Automotive, you will help dealerships grow market share, increase showroom traffic, generate leads, and ultimately sell more vehicles.
You will:
- Develop and grow relationships through consistent in-person dealership visits, networking, prospecting, referrals, and business development activities.
- Build trusted advisor relationships with Dealer Principals, General Managers, Dealer Operators, Marketing Directors, and agency partners.
- Conduct discovery meetings to understand dealership objectives, competitive pressures, inventory concerns, fixed operations opportunities, and growth goals.
- Create customized marketing strategies that help dealers drive awareness, shopper engagement, traffic, leads, sales, and service revenue.

- Utilize industry-leading automotive research resources, shopper insights, audience intelligence, and consumer behavior data to identify growth opportunities and build strategic recommendations.
- Present creative, innovative marketing ideas that dealers love and that help their stores stand out in highly competitive markets.
- Collaborate with automotive strategists, campaign specialists, creative teams, and product experts to develop integrated programs that deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Deliver compelling business presentations supported by market intelligence, automotive data, consumer insights, and performance reporting.
- Conduct ongoing business reviews and campaign recaps that clearly demonstrate results, ROI, and future growth opportunities.
- Consistently exceed revenue goals through consultative selling, exceptional client service, and long-term relationship development.
What You'll Need:
Automotive Expertise
- 3+ years of experience working directly with automotive dealerships, dealer groups, OEM programs, automotive agencies, automotive technology providers, or automotive marketing organizations.
- Proven experience managing advertising, marketing, or lead-generation programs for automobile dealers.
- Deep understanding of the dealership business and the factors that drive vehicle sales, service revenue, customer acquisition, and market share growth.
- Ability to confidently engage dealership ownership, executive leadership, and key decision-makers.
- Experience conducting face-to-face meetings with Dealer Principals, General Managers, Marketing Directors, and ownership groups.
- Understanding of automotive retail trends, dealer operations, consumer shopping behavior, and omni-channel marketing strategies.
- Familiarity with co-op compliance, attribution reporting, and performance-based marketing solutions is preferred.
- A genuine passion for the automotive industry and helping dealers succeed.
Consultative Selling & Relationship Building
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships through face-to-face client interactions.
- Strong consultative sales skills with a track record of identifying needs and developing customized marketing solutions.
- Comfortable presenting strategic recommendations to dealer ownership and executive leadership teams.
- Experience recommending and closing significant marketing investments.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and storytelling skills.
- Highly competitive, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.
- Ability to build a book of business that consistently produces budget-beating results through prospecting, presenting, and closing integrated marketing programs.
Strategic & Creative Thinking
- Ability to develop unique marketing concepts and promotional ideas that drive dealership traffic and vehicle sales.
- Experience building and managing complex, integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
- Strong understanding of how audio, digital, video, social, and emerging media channels influence automotive shoppers.
- Ability to translate research, data, and analytics into actionable business recommendations.
- A passion for solving business challenges and helping dealers outperform their competition.
- Creative thinker who enjoys bringing fresh ideas to dealers that generate excitement and results.
Technology & Organization
- Experience using Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple clients, priorities, and sales opportunities simultaneously.
- Experience utilizing campaign analytics and reporting tools to demonstrate marketing effectiveness.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel throughout assigned territory and conduct regular in-person dealership visits.
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.

Compensation:
Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data.
