Experience designing and implementing these capabilities in cloud environments is essential, with Azure experience being a key focus.

We are looking for a data engineer who can do more than develop pipelines—the ideal candidate understands data architecture, integration patterns, cloud security, governance, troubleshooting, and the end-to-end operation of an enterprise data platform.

Responsibilities:
.

- Design and develop enterprise-scale data pipelines and ETL/ELT solutions.
- Develop data architectures supporting batch, real-time, and event-driven processing.
- Design data models, data flows, integration patterns, and data storage solutions.
- Integrate data from databases, APIs, files, applications, and enterprise systems.
- Develop and support Azure data solutions using Synapse, Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Functions, Logic Apps, and Event Hubs.
- Implement data solutions using Azure SQL Database and Cosmos DB.
- Support data governance, cataloging, classification, and lineage.
- Implement secure data solutions using RBAC, managed identities, Key Vault, private endpoints, and Entra ID.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines and production data services.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, analysts, cybersecurity teams, and business stakeholders.
- Apply enterprise standards for security, compliance, data quality, and governance.

Qualifications:

Required:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, data integration, or ETL/ELT.
- Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, data warehousing, data lakes, and data integration patterns.
- Experience designing and implementing data solutions in cloud environments.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases and data warehousing.
- Hands-on experience developing and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data services, including:
- Azure Synapse Analytics
- Azure Data Factory / Synapse Pipelines
- Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2
- Azure Functions and/or Logic Apps
- Azure SQL Database
- Experience integrating data from multiple enterprise sources, including databases, APIs, files, and applications.
- Understanding of cloud security concepts including RBAC, managed identities, Key Vault, private endpoints, and Entra ID.
- Experience troubleshooting and supporting production data solutions.

Desired:

- Skilled in Azure Event Hubs and real‑time data processing.
- Proficient with Cosmos DB and NoSQL data architectures.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Purview, including data governance and lineage capabilities.
- Capable of working with Self‑Hosted Integration Runtime and hybrid data integration patterns.
- Familiar with Azure App Service, Power BI, and Azure Machine Learning.
- Adept in Python, PySpark, or comparable data engineering languages.
- Competent with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD practices, and automated deployment pipelines.
- Strong understanding of Azure Monitor and Application Insights for observability and performance monitoring.
