What you will have an opportunity to do:
The HR Generalist supports the daily operations of the Human Resources Department and serves as a trusted resource for employees and management. This position is responsible for recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, HR administration, and employee engagement initiatives while promoting a positive workplace culture at The Inn at Perry Cabin.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinate and support all recruiting activities for The Inn at Perry Cabin.
- Partner with department managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
- Post and manage job openings through recruiting platforms, the company website, social media channels, and other sourcing methods.
- Screen applicants, schedule interviews, and maintain communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
- Facilitate onboarding and orientation to ensure a positive new hire experience.
- Develop and maintain candidate pipelines to support current and future staffing needs.
- Monitor recruiting metrics and recommend process improvements to enhance hiring effectiveness.
- Support employee relations by addressing employee questions, concerns, and workplace matters in a professional and confidential manner.
- Promote employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.
- Assist with planning and coordinating employee events, training programs, and HR communications.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Support benefits administration, leave management, and other HR programs as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Maintain and update all HR bulletin boards, labor law postings, employee notices, communication boards, and recruiting displays to ensure information remains current, accurate, and compliant.
- Prepare HR reports, maintain employee records and HR systems, and support workforce planning initiatives.
- Build positive working relationships with employees and managers throughout the organization.
- Provide guidance and support regarding HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Promote and uphold the culture, values, and service standards of The Inn at Perry Cabin.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & TRAINING
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of Human Resources, recruiting, training, or related experience required.
- Hospitality experience preferred; luxury hotel experience strongly preferred.
- Progressive Human Resources and/or hotel operations experience preferred.
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or equivalent) is a plus.
