Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for an Assistant Payroll Manager to join our team in Lakewood Ranch, FL. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the payroll staff at our corporate office location. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of payroll activities and previous experience in a professional payroll environment. Pay, Schedule, and Location

- Starting at $65,000-$70,000/annual, paid weekly with bonus opportunities

- Excellent benefits package: Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k) match

- Monday through Friday schedule with some flexibility

- Located in Sarasota/Lakewood Ranch, FL.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate activities of payroll staff

- Ensure payroll is processed in an accurate, compliant and timely manner

- Analyze payroll & billing data

- Processing payroll, pay corrections, voids & reversals

- Time entry and auditing of payroll

- Creating checks and ACH payment files

- Processing bank ACH/Positive Pay files

- Entering deductions, garnishments, and direct deposits

- Closing batches and accounting periods

Requirements and Qualifications

- At least 2 years of experience working in a payroll department

- 1 year of management experience is strongly preferred

- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required

- Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of professionals and be a team player

- Established skills in front end computer usage as well as proven sense of customer relations

- Excellent time management skills and be able to work independently with limited supervision
