Role Description
The Full Stack Developer is a hands-on technical role responsible for designing, developing, integrating, testing, deploying, and supporting modern, browser-based applications and technology solutions. Working primarily within a Microsoft Azure environment, this role develops solutions across the full technology stack, including user interfaces, APIs, application services, databases, cloud infrastructure, system integrations, and emerging AI-enabled capabilities.
The Full Stack Developer partners with internal stakeholders and customers to understand business needs, translate requirements into technical solutions, and independently move development work from concept through implementation. This role requires a developer who can work from business needs rather than relying solely on highly detailed technical specifications, ask effective questions, contribute ideas, develop prototypes or wireframes, and recommend practical solutions. This role will work collaboratively within an Agile development environment and requires both strong technical capabilities and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Application Development & Solution Delivery
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain modern, browser-based applications using front-end, back-end, database, API, and cloud technologies.
• Develop applications and services using modern technologies, with an emphasis on C#/.NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, Next.js, SQL, and Microsoft Azure.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs, application services, and system integrations connecting internal applications, external platforms, data sources, and cloud-based services.
• Develop Azure-based solutions utilizing services such as Azure Functions, Azure App Services, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, and related technologies.
• Develop secure authentication and authorization solutions utilizing Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth, and other established security practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and integration issues across development, testing, and production environments.
Business Requirements & Solution Development
• Partner directly with internal stakeholders, customers, and project teams to understand business challenges, gather requirements, and translate needs into effective technical solutions.
• Participate actively in solution discovery rather than relying solely on predefined or highly detailed technical requirements.
• Develop mockups, wireframes, prototypes, or other visual concepts to help stakeholders evaluate potential solutions and refine requirements.
• Apply UI/UX principles to develop intuitive, effective, and user-friendly application experiences.
• Independently manage development requests from initial discovery and design through development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Communicate technical concepts, options, and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Development Practices & Collaboration
• Work within modern CI/CD environments and utilize Azure DevOps, Git, and related technologies to support source control, testing, deployment, and development collaboration.
• Participate in Agile development practices, including backlog management, sprint planning, work estimation, team check-ins, reviews, and other development activities.
• Utilize Jira or similar tools to manage development work, requirements, priorities, and progress.
• Collaborate effectively with developers, business analysts, system administrators, project teams, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain appropriate technical documentation in accordance with established development and security practices.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
• Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field with approximately 5 years of relevant software development experience; or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field with approximately two or more years of relevant software development experience.
• Overall, the position is designed for a developer with approximately 3–5 years of relevant professional software development experience, with consideration given to the candidate's combination of education and demonstrated hands-on development experience.
• Hands-on experience developing applications using C#/.NET and modern web development technologies.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based application development.
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern front-end development frameworks, such as Next.js, React, or similar technologies.
• Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs and web services.
• Experience with relational databases, SQL, and data-driven application development.
• Experience using Git or similar source control technologies and working within modern CI/CD environments.
• Understanding of authentication and application security concepts, including Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth, or similar technologies.
• Understanding of Agile software development practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently manage assigned development work and move solutions from requirements through implementation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers, business stakeholders, and technical teams.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative development team.
• Ability to translate business needs into practical technology solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Azure services such as Azure Functions, Azure App Services, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, Azure Data Factory, or related technologies.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and automated build, testing, and deployment processes.
• Experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services, Microsoft Copilot technologies, or other AI platforms.
• Exposure to generative AI concepts such as Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, vector search, embeddings, or conversational AI.
• Experience integrating enterprise SaaS applications or other third-party platforms through APIs.
• Experience with mockups, wireframes, prototyping, and UI/UX design concepts.
Office
At ACRT Services we prefer in-person employee interaction, and we rely on collaboration among groups to be successful and agile, which means we expect work in the office to continue as an important part of our company culture and a key to employee success. This position is a remote hybrid role, meaning employees will be required to come into the Ohio office on an as needed basis.
Standard office equipment will be provided to work in the office and at home- a dedicated space at home to work is also required. Uninterrupted home-based internet is a must in your
home to attend and host video calls, along with a minimum bandwidth speed of 20 mbps. If you do not have an in home office space or cannot meet the internet needs, an office space will be provided for you in the company’s Stow, Ohio office.
