PGDX by Labcorp is seeking a Research Associate to join our team in Baltimore, MD!
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 1st shift
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory assays for development of diagnostic applications following good documentation process (GDP) and product development process (PDP).
- Own tasks related to study design, planning, protocol writing and schedule creation.
- Standard laboratory duties including: quality control and general maintenance of laboratory equipment, reagent and consumable inventory, accurate and detailed record keeping.
- Identify gaps or issues with laboratory procedures or protocols and provide input on solutions.
- Support sample management team with sample tracking, database updates, and creation of contrived samples.
- Work effectively on multiple studies and quickly adjust to changing priorities or goals.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with peers, team, and cross-functionally.
- Conduct proof of concept, optimization, and feasibility studies including iterative data evaluation and troubleshooting.
- Learn and apply new methods or technologies.
- Assist with the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assay instructions.
- Assist with transfer of product design to operations.
- Assist with creating product design specifications and identification of design-related risks for product development.
- May provide input on product requirements
- Assist with interpretation, translation, and presentation of data for team, group, project, or cross-functional formal design meetings.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or related life science.
- 1 or more years of lab experience in industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 or more years of NGS experience
Additional Job Standards:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Pay Range: $55k - 65k
All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
