About this role

Texas Aerospace Scholars (TAS) is an immersive STEM learning opportunity for Texas students, designed to inspire the next generation of explorers through direct engagement with NASA’s missions and STEM career pathways.

The TAS Senior Experience begins with Ignition, a ten-week online course focused on research and the development of technical skills that help overcome technology gaps in the development of Artemis missions to the lunar surface.

Highest achieving students receive an invitation to a five-day virtual summer experience, Flight Path, during which students work in teams to design solutions for Moon Base Infrastructure under the mentorship of NASA scientists and engineers. Eligible students on top teams are invited to attend Slingshot, a residential experience at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX.
